A famous poet Vladimir Vladimirovich Mayakovsky was born in Baghdati, Russian Empire on the 19 th of July in 1893. He was the last of three children. His father worked as a forest ranger. After the sudden and premature death of his father in 1906, Mayakovsky’s family (his mother and his two sisters) moved to Moscow, where he attended School № 5.

Mayakovsky's fi rst poem was published in the illegal magazine "Rush". He entered Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in 1911. Unfortunately, Mayakovsky and his friend Burliuk were excluded from school for public speaking in February 1914. Later in 1918 the poet organized a group called "Komfut" (communist futurism) and a publishing group IAF (Moscow Futurists Association) which published several of his books in 1922.

Throughout most of his life Mayakovsky's muse was Lilya Brik. His aff air with the Briks` family (Lilya and her husband) has become world-famous. Vladimir had one daughter whose name was Helen Patricia.

LATER YEARS

In February 1930 Lily and Osip Brik left for Europe. Vladimir was disappointed because Lily didn`t love him and besides he had lots of problems. Vladimir Mayakovsky shot himself on the 14 th of April in 1930 when he was only 36. I suppose that he was a very talented and extraordinary poet. We all owe him our respect and admiration.
