● Green products are energy efficient,durable and often have low maintenance and requirements.

● The product will be freeOf depleting ozone layer and toxicCompounds.

● Energy star is for electronics and home appliances

● This green seal can be found in a coffee filter in a hotel

GREEN PRODUCT CERITIFICATION

● This is used for wood productsthat are from forest.

● LEED seal when looking forgreen homes and bulidingmaterials.

REASON FOR USING GREEn PRODUCTS

● For each and every purpose we are using some products for our daily use.

● But we don’t know the chemicals● which hide in the product.● Since in WORLD WOR II 85000● chemicals have entered the mainstream through various

products.● 70% of chemicals has been found in each product.● For example

● Phtalates(in fragranced product)● Triclosan(in liquid dishwashing )

HARMFUL EFFECTS OF CHEMICALS

● Harmful in nature like phthalates are used in plastic products.

● Plastics are normally bio-degradable they may take centuries to decay.

● It has low melting point they cannot be used as a protective barrier for furnaces.

● It has less durability. ● Bisphenol A (BPA) is an organic compound

used in a wide variety of products, mostly plastics.

DISADVANTAGES

PRODUCTS THAT ARE MADE FROM WASTAGES.● Things that are made from plastic soda

bottles.

● The plastic from soda and water bottles you recycled might be turned into the filling that keeps a sleeping bag.
