Duties and responsibilities

Mofulatsi I Rampou is a South African Registered Professional Architect (SACAP) and an Artist who studied architecture at Nelson Mandela Met-ropolitan University from 2007-2009 (BAS) and 2010-2011 (MArch Profes-sional). This profile marks his career before and post registration and establishment of a practice as an Architect from 2012 to date. The com-pany is currently a small, energetic but yet ambitious to growing and expanding beyond boundaries of South Africa Pursuant to an architect and project manager Mr. Rampou engaged in planning, designing, and supervision of construction of buildings in south Africa and abroad since the completion of his studies in 2011. Major interest in architecture has been steering towards contemporary style with much emphasis on differentiation between the “served spaces” and “servant spaces” . Space, light and aesthetics are of primary concern to his work. Along-side his career in architecture he followed his ambition of photography and motion arts to positively contribute to his work. This profile provides an overview of projects undertaken in Namibia, South Africa and Leso-tho. The projects ranges from commercial, residential, and institutional developments. Each project contained herein states general roles and responsibilities in project activities and status to date.

Project Life-cycle herewith describes the key phases of activities under-taken by Vizion Interactiv(Pty)Ltd as architect and principal agent roles in close collaboration with other consultants such as structural, mechani-cal, electrical engineers and quantity surveyor. During construction period main responsibilities were; Monitoring and controlchanges made to the key parameters such as: Scope,time (schedule), cost (budget), quality, issues/risks, handover Plan, manage stakeholder expec-tations and communications, report performance thro-ugh status reports and meetings, managevariance requests, confirm the plan-ned results are produced.

This registration is advantageous to employers, since it offers the peace of mind that an ethical code will be maintained and that professional services of the highest quality will be rendered. The Architectural Profession Act 44 of 2000 ensures quality Assurance in connection with the educational standards, and with the Council for the Built Environment on matters such as the Code of Conduct and Identification of Work. Training of employees towards SACAP registration is on prime important in the company. More registered partners will be engaged as the company flourishes.

ADHERENCE TO NORMS & STANDARDSOur architectural methodology is based on SABS/ SANS Norms and standards. We make use of software packages such as Revit Architecture mainly for design and detailing. Microsoft project is utilized for accurate project supervision and reporting to respective clients. Vizion Interactiv has integrated aerial imagery and photography as part of reporting package & to determine real time & works progress.

BUILDING PLANNINGAt Vizion Interactiv, we understand that adequate and efficient planning equals a good foundation of any project and allows the client to be in a position to be able to make informed choices on the remainder of the projects.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT SUPPORTHaving identified the need for a corporate methodology within construction companies today, Vizion Interactiv works with the industry to apply the best practices to produce the most suitable methodology that fits the projects’ needs as well as the environment.
