A diverse and motivated community

VizEat’s members come from all walks of life, sharing a common passion for cooking,

travelling, meeting new people and sharing their language and culture - whether it be a

host or a guest!

Hear it from our hosts!

Marie Claude, Paris (France) – Host on VizEat

“It was so wonderful to welcome guests and present to them classic French cooking.

I always show the kind of hospitality I hope to receive from others when I am

abroad. Being a host with VizEat is like having the world at your table, always an

enriching experience!”

Eve, Taipei (Taiwan) – Host on VizEat

“We will treat you like family, and hope to be treated likewise! We love sharing

information and showing Taipei’s hidden places for those who are looking for

the more unique and less known spots around Taipei! We'll be glad to share the

Taiwanese culture with you!”

Pharrell, Orléans (France) – Host on VizEat

“I’ve been all over the world as a DJ, and I love meeting new people from various

backgrounds. I also love street food, as well as bourbon, California and rap music!”

Benny & Bula, Rome (Italy) – Hosts on VizEat

“We're two sisters who study and live in Rome. Benny is an architect, Bula is a

Medical student, but our passion for cooking les us to create our own food blog.

At the heart of our concept is a new way to travel

No matter where you are in the world, meeting new people is the best way to discover a

culture – what better way to do so than by dining at a local home?

Jean-Michel Petit – CEO and co-founder

Travelling, gastronomy & new encounters are a few of Jean-Michel’s passions. Until 2012,

Jean-Michel was a Board member and Director of Investments of London-based venture

capital firm Eurovestech, He previously occupied the position of CRM and E-commerce

Director at Compaq France and was a member of the Alta Vista Europe management team.

It was during a trip to Peru, while sharing a traditional Indian meal in the island of

Amantani (Lake Titicaca), that the idea of VizEat was born.

Camille Rumani – COO and co-founder

Camille is passionate about cuisine and loves hosting and discovering new cultures. She

has acquired solid experience in Corporate Finance at E&Y, then specialized in marketing

360° with Henkel. A fluent speaker of Mandarin Chinese, she was also an intern at

Dacheng Law Offices, Pekin’s largest lawyer’s firm.

It was in Beijing’s vastness, where meeting people is rendered more difficult due to the

language barrier and different culture, that she first had the idea: to create a platform that

would bring together locals and those interested in discovering their culture from the

inside.
