Introducing Vivo Miles

What is ‘Vivo Miles’ ?

• Vivo Miles is an online rewards system

• Teachers and support award pupils Vivos (electronic points) for good work, effort , behaviour etc.

• Students save and spend their Vivos on the rewards they want from an online catalogue

• Every student gets a personalised Vivo card, very much like a bank card

• Students can check their Vivo balance by logging on to their account through the vivomiles.com website

Senior leaders set goals; for example, positive behaviour, performance, or punctuality

Staff log onto Vivo Miles website to reward students

Students check and redeem their Vivos and are spurred on to greater things

Parents can check their child's progress and can add their own rewards

What are our Reward Criteria ?

• Behaviour• Treating others with respect, helping resolve conflict, looking after the college

environment, accepting authority of all members of staff

• Being an effective learner• Arriving each day, properly equipped and with a positive attitude, having attendance

rate of 98%+ over half term, showing enthusiasm for learning, willing participant

• Achievement and Progress• Maintaining MS of 7 + across half term, work always their 'best' , always acts on

feedback, makes good progress towards target grade or better‘

• Extra curricular activities• Fully involved in out of lesson activities, plays leading role in college sporting teams,

contributes to college wide events

How staff log on

• Go to www.vivomiles.com

• Enter their username, password and domain (school name)

• Click on the login button

• When logging in for the first time, staff are prompted to enter an email address so a reminder should they forget your login

Rewarding a student or students

• EITHER: Type in the name of the individual student who you want to reward. All names will come up intuitively. Then click Reward.

• OR: Click on the class you are teaching to award multiple students in that lesson.

What the student sees

• Details of this transaction will appear on the student’s account the next time they login:

Vivo budget

• Each member of staff is given a budget of Vivos to award each week

• Staff can easily keep track of how much the budget you has been used from their homepage:

• To see a full list of the rewards you have issued, click on the Transactions tab

• If a mistake has been made - after pressing the submit button, click on the relevant transaction and then edit or cancel the transaction.

“Extra Earner” Offers

• Students have the opportunity to earn extra Vivos in return for their help, or for turning up to extra classes for example.

• STEP 1: Click on the Extra Earners menu tab on the homepage

• STEP 2: Click on the Add offer button

• STEP 3: Fill out the offer and press Submit.

What the student sees

• Once submitted, this will appear on the “Earn Extra Vivos” board on a student’s homepage the next time they login.

Vivo Records

• Staff are able to view every student’s Vivo record

• Staff can monitor an individual or tutor group, click on the Groups tab on your homepage and scroll down to the group you require.

Parental Engagement

• The Vivo Parental Engagement Platform has been designed to positively "engage and inform" parents.

• With your own personal Vivo account you can view information relating to your child’s rewards.

• With the option to receive updates by email, information can be pushed to you in real time or on a periodic basis, and you can access your account wherever you have access to an internet enabled PC.
