Transcript of VitalSync EMR Connectivity and Remote Continuous Patient Monitoring Software
How does Vital Sync™ Virtual Patient Monitoring Platform 2.5 work?
• Patient information is transmitted wirelessly from bedside devices to the hospital’s server
• The Vital Sync software, which resides on your hospital’s server, takes this information and makes it viewable on any web-enabled device on the hospital network
• The information is formatted into HL7 protocol and written into the hospital EMR
Vital Sync software provides an IHE ACM-compliant HL7 interface for alarm messages from ventilators, capnographers and pulse oximeters.
Medtronic Bedside Devices
Vital Sync VPMP 2.5 is an EMR connectivity and remote continuous patient monitoring software solution from Medtronic. It allows clinicians to remotely view:
• Patient information (waveforms, alarms, pressure/volume loops, trend data, etc.)
• Multiple hospital device categories (ventilators, capnographs, pulse oximeters, depth of consciousness monitors and regional oximetry)
• On any web-enabled devices (smartphones, tablets, desktops, Workstation on Wheels, central nurse station monitoring)
This patient information is sent to the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Clinical Information Systems (CIS) and alarm forwarding systems.
