Established an ASC email distribution list in 2006 which, by 2009, had over 250
members, including recipients in five different continents. Due to the large and
increasing number of recipients, with the help of the UOB IT Center, on May 16,
2009, we inaugurated the ASC-list listserv, thus allowing members to post
directly to the list. Current list membership is 350 members.
Established in January 2004, and continue to maintain, a website for the

Interviewed and selected applicants for Fulbright and Humphrey State
Department scholarships on September 4 and 6, 2007 at US Embassy in

Established a biannual newsletter for the American Studies Center, entitled ASC
News, with the first issue published in February 2004. The newsletter became a
magazine after two issues. Obtained, in the fall of 2006, new Apple PowerMac
G5 computer, HP Color Laserjet 3600 printer, QuarkXpress software, and
Adobe Creative Suite STD CS 2.0 for MAC software in order to design the ASC
News magazine in-house.
Equipped and maintained computer lab for American Studies Center students.
Assisted in supervising students from the American Studies Center on a tour of
the US Naval Support Activity base in Juffair, Bahrain (home of the US Fifth

has created a library of videos that we’ve built into a curriculum for all staff.
There are 15 short videos, each about 2 minutes or less. The topics discussed in
the videos include: email and phishing; protecting your passwords; social
networking; browsing the web safely; and data security.

West Virginia State Purchasing Card Travel Only Certification Training

The West Virginia State Purchasing Card Program was developed to provide
local government entities a single purchasing card program to replace the
various card types employed in county commissions, municipalities, boards of
education and other miscellaneous local boards and authorities. One single
purchasing card program allows local governments to institute a proper
transaction monitoring system while earning a rebate that may be utilized for
government operations.
West Virginia State Purchasing Card Certification Ethics Training

The West Virginia State Purchasing Card Program was implemented in 1996
addressing the need for a process that would create more accountability for
purchases, improve relations with vendors and save the State millions through
cost avoidance. All cardholders are required to receive training prior to having
access to a PCard or the PCard software. For State cardholders, two separate
training sessions and quizzes are required. One session being on the West
Virginia’s Ethics Act. WVURC cardholders are required to complete the
WVURC Cardholder Training and quiz provided by PCPS PCard
Administration; however, if the WVURC cardholder has a State PCard, he/she
does not need to take the WVURC training, as he/she has already taken the State
training.

NSC Defensive Driving Course Abridged Version

The National Safety Council's online Defensive Driving Course is the Council's
first Internet-based driver-training program and is based on the 8-hour defensive
driving course for the classroom, but takes the average student half that time to
complete. If you are taking the course for a specific purpose, such as for an auto
insurance premium reduction, an employer, or as a court requirement please
verify how long you have to complete the course. You can receive a certificate
of completion from the National Safety Council that, in many states, can be used
to lower or maintain automobile insurance rates. Only one certificate will be
issued to each account
