Industry Supported Laboratories
1. As a part of the MOU, M/s. Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, has donated
two engines and transmission systems. These systems are prepared into cut sections to
have a real experience of how an engine and the transmission system work. The students
of our department will be benefitted by this centre to a greater extent. The lab is
established in a separate cabin in Workshop.
2. M/s. Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (India) has donated an Eight-speed Turbo Engine
with transmission system for demonstration purpose. The company has given training to
a faculty member on its operations. The process of converting it into a usable form for
students is under progress. The set up is kept in Energy Conversion Lab.

Activities under SAE India
(2018-19) The students had developed a hybrid scooter. The TVS EGA Championship 2018 was held on
15th
– 16th
June 2018 at TVS Institute of Quality and leadership, Attibele, Bangalore. A total 11
teams across India had participated in the final event. Team of 15 students (12 ME + 03 ECE)
from our college has won the first prize.
Activity under SAE
The JSS REEV team is currently engaged in the finishing stages of the fabrication of the
hybrid car, and will be taking part in the final event in the month of November with the
valuable support from the college, faculty advisors and sponsors.
The JSS REEV Team took part in the virtual round of the event in the month of
February of 2019 hosted by SAE - General Motors at Acharya College and secured
the 1st place.
