In The Zoo Story a man sits peacefully reading on a sunny afternoon in Central Park. Soon, he is joined by a man who has been to the zoo. With provocative humor and unrelenting suspense, their simple conversation takes drastic turns. In The Sandbox, Mommy and Daddy take Grandma to the beach, where they meet a young man doing his exercises. As this bright daybecomes deep night, the afternoon’s darker purpose is revealed. Albee’s plays confront the struggles of isolation, loneliness, class dif-ference, and the dangers of indifference, and still have the power to shock. The Zoo Story and The Sandbox are presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York.

In the topsy-turvy world of There’s an Ocean in Nebraska, adventures quickly move towards chaos. 7-year-old Queenie is on the run afterstealing her new best friend Gus, the talking blowfish, from a pet store. Struggling actor Peter is desperate to perform while his motherhaunts him with guilt. Samantha is trying to pull together her family which is spinning out of control. At the center of it all is Grace, awoman trying to find her way back home. By turns hallucinatory, hilarious, and deeply moving, this exciting new work by Chicago play-wright Dana Lynn Formby takes us on an unexpected journey to the possibility of healing.

The Emerging Voices Project was created to contribute to the development of new work in the Chicago theatre scene and to bring op-portunities to the Triton College community to work with professional playwrights. This season we are once again privileged to host a Resident Playwright from Chicago Dramatists, Chicago’s premiere play development company and the artistically-acclaimed home forwriters working at the forefront of American theatre.

In a frantic attempt to salvage the evening, Saunders persuades Max to get into Morelli's Otello costume and fool the audience into thinkinghe's Il Stupendo. Max succeeds, but Morelli comes to and gets into his other costume ready to perform. Now two Otellos are running around incostume and two women are running around in lingerie.
