– A driver that is set as the Primary Driver is theone currently using the application while theother one is only in the monitoring state.




– When a Co-Driver is on the Review Mode andthat the vehicle is not in motion, an option tomake the co-driver to become the Primary Driveris available on the Drivers List

– Once the “Make Primary Driver” is enabled theVBUS services will restart under the new primarydriver’s account

– The “Make Primary Driver” button will bedisabled when the main driver is in a DrivingState, which will then display a label stating“Cannot Change Driver While Driving”

• Two-way integration of portal edits withthe device including full edit logging– Drivers can review requested edits from a fleet

manager/personnel user or co-driver andindicate whether they wish to accept or rejectthe proposed events.

– In addition, Intermediate logs, driver’sLogin/Logout activity, CMV’s Engine PowerOn/Off and are available to help the drivermonitor the Vehicles condition and status.





• It also indicates if the deviceis connected or disconnectedto a VBUS device– Switching or selecting a Vehicle with

a preconfigured VBUS deviceenables the app to find and connecton the match device.

– If the app attempts to connect to anunsupported device. the app thendisplays a dialog which warns theuser that the equipment has aninvalid VBUS device type set and thatthe default device type is being used.The ‘Device Not Supported’ dialog willbe displayed stating: “Device is nolonger supported. Please use manualconnection." along with a Cancel andManual Connection buttons.

Note: On the VBUS Settings, VBUS Data and Automatic Configuration should be enabled.



• Unidentified Driving Events– If the driver logs out from the Hours

of Service app and the vehicle is putinto motion for more than 3 minutes,Unidentified Driving Events areautomatically created under theUnidentified Driver account.

– When an Authenticated Driver logsinto the Hours of Service app, theseevents can then be accepted by thedriver or be left in the UnidentifiedDriver account

– Pending Edit Request dialog forunidentified driving event hasadditional details like: From &Equipment ID compared to editrequest from personnel.




• Warning features– If the driver has logged out from the app

and the vehicle is put into motion, the ELDprompts a visual and audible warningreminding the driver to stop and login tothe ELD. This monitoring and notificationcapability is dependent on a VBUS dataconnection running in the background.

– The visible warning stays on the screenand also prevents the driver from using any features of the tablet until the vehicle has stopped.




– If the driver logged into the applicationwithout the Location Services turned on, asnackbar will display on the maindashboard and to other screens except forthe screens navigated through the Settingsmenu . However, when the LocationServices of the device is enabled then thesnackbar will no longer display.




• Theme for night time driving– When night mode is enabled,

the application automaticallychanges the color scheme of theuser interface.

– The theme will activate based onthe calculated sunset time of thedevice’s GPS position or timesettings.




• Events such as Personal Use, Yard Moves and OffRoad are also recorded in the driver’s history list.However, only the Personal Use and Yard Movesare displayed on the grid chart as an Amber colorline to be visually different with the other eventstatuses, a dashed line represents the PersonalUse event and a dotted line represents the YardMoves event. The legends for Personal Use andYard Moves event will only display when the saidevents occurred.

• Log Certification is also available in the app. Onecan monitor when a certified log has been edited inthe portal. Edit suggestions will prompt the driver toeither accept or reject the requests, Recertificationof the log is required for accepted events. A label inthe title log will display “Recertify” message.

– The ELD can also produce a data file or aseries of data files of ELD records for a subsetof its vehicles used by the driver through the‘Select Vehicle’ option. Tapping the menu willdisplay the list of vehicles.
