PBY CARFrom the North – Join the M25 and follow until Junction 20. Exit and follow signs for Hempstead Road, follow Hempstead Road into central Watford. Follow the large roundabout system at the end of Hempstead Road and exit towards Rickmansworth A412. Follow this road for 1/4 mile and turn left at the end of the underpass. Go through two traffic lights and turn left into ‘The Hornets’ at the East end of Vicarage Road.
From the South – Join the M25 and follow until Junction 18. Exit via the slip road, which goes up to a bridge going across the motorway, then turn left towards Rickmansworth. Head down into Rickmansworth until you arrive at a large roundabout near Rickmansworth BR station. Turn left here along the A412 towards Watford. Follow signs into Croxley Green. Continue straight over at the two roundabouts past Croxley, then take the fifth right exit on to Harwood Road. Continue straight down, heading straight over the traffic lights, until you come to the end of the road. At the end turn left and you will now be on Vicarage Road, continue for a few hundred metres and you will see the ground on your right hand side.
PBY TRAIN AND TUBEThe nearest station is Watford High Street, a 10-minute walk away from the ground. Watford Junction train station is about a 20-minute walk. Watford also has its own London Underground tube station, which is on the Metropolitan Line and is situated just under one mile from Vicarage Road.
PPARKINGThere is no parking available for fans at the ground and street parking is restricted for local residents with matchday permits. Watford town centre has several car parks, the easiest of which for access to Vicarage Road is Church Car Park on the inside of the ring-road, opposite the turn-off into Vicarage Road. All town centre car parks are within a 10-minute walk of Vicarage Road. There is also additional car parking in the Town Centre at Royalty House (on King Street, just off the High Street). Other possibilities are Watford Grammar School for Girls, Cassiobury Park Avenue, and Fishers Industrial Estate off Wiggenhall Road.

VICARAGE ROADIES
OUR TEAM OF ‘VICARAGE ROADIES’ LOOK FORWARD TO WELCOMING YOU TO THE VICARAGE ROAD STADIUMWho are the Vicarage Roadies?
The Vicarage Roadies are here to meet and greet supporters coming to Watford Football Club on match days. We are a team of volunteer Watford fans who aim to enhance the supporter experience by offering advice and support to all visitors to Vicarage Road. Most of the Roadies have been Hornets for years, the one thing we all have in common is our desire to go that extra mile and give all supporters the best possible matchday experience.
How and Where Can You Find Us?
During your visit we hope you will get to meet and interact with some of our Roadie Team. Our team can be found on the approaches to and around Vicarage Road Stadium from at least 90 minutes before kick-off, and we have an information point at the North-East corner of the stadium. You’ll easily spot us dressed in our bright green ‘Roadie Jackets’ with cheerful smiling faces.
What Do We Do?
Anything we can to help is the easy answer. As Hornets supporters, we know a lot about the Club, the town and the stadium. In the unlikely event we can’t help you we will find someone who can.Our role is different to match day stewards. We have more time to chat with fans and are dedicated to offering everyone the warmest welcome to our ground.
How Can We Help You?
Our team will provide help, guidance and the answers to any questions you might have when you arrive at the Stadium. To us no problem is insurmountable, whatever you might need, from assistance for those needing support to access the stadium, to away match ticket collection and everything in between. No task is too great or small! Just come and find us, ask us and we will do all we can. As it says on our Roadie jackets, we’re ‘HERE TO HELP’
CATERINGNo visit to Vicarage Road is complete without a visit to our newly refurbished matchday kiosks. We believe and work
to the ethos that the quality of our food starts in the field, not in the box in a warehouse. We go right to the start of
the source and the quality of that product is looked after throughout the entire process - so by the time we select
our ingredients, put a good chef around it and cook the product the delivery is the best it can be.
It’s all designed to offer fans a new, unique, and truly
FANCENTRIC experience. Ultimately we aim to create the best matchday experience possible by providing a
choice of great quality food, served in a speedy, efficient manner by engaging and friendly employees. We look
forward to welcoming you.
No visit to Vicarage Road is complete without picking up a copy of the matchday programme – available at the stadium before every Watford home game. Featuring a detailed look at the Hornets’ opponents – including exclusive interviews with players past and present – as well as fun quizzes and games for younger fans, the matchday programme really is a must-have purchase for supporters of both teams. The 100-page programme costs £3.50 to purchase and is available from The Hornets Shop as well as various vendors situated around the stadium. You can also download a digital version for iPhone, iPad and Android devices from the Matchday Digital app.
