As the largest autism-specific charity in the region, Autism East Midlands have been supporting people affected by the condition since 1968. The charity was established in that year by a group of parents, all of whom had been told that their children could not be educated. Since then, our range of services has grown to meet the needs of children and adults with autism, their families, carers and professionals working in the field of autism. Autism East Midlands works to recognise and respond to the needs of the individual, enabling people to live their lives with dignity, choice and independence. For further information, please visit www.autismeastmidlands.org.uk or contact the charity on 01909 506678.
