On behalf of the Department of Campus Recreation and the University of North Carolina - Wilmington, welcome to Wilmington, North Carolina and our beautiful campus. I hope your experience throughout your visit is positive, fun and exciting as you compete on our campus.

Your club’s visit and experience is very important to us. Please know we have staff and procedures in place to ensure an outstanding event. I challenge each of you to show good sportsmanship so the event is enjoyable for all involved, including participants, officials, staff and spectators.

• All visiting athletes will be required to show a photo ID (driver’s license, school ID, etc.) and sign a waiver before participating.

• A Competitive Sports student supervisor will be onsite to oversee all events and assist with any needs. They are not athletic trainers, but are basic first aid, CPR, and AED certified.

• If you are participating in an event that requires an entry fee, all checks should be sent to the Campus Recreation office using the following address:

Parking InformationParking Services is located in the Warwick Center and is open from 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday.

Campus parking regulations and permit enforcement takes place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Visitor parking is available in Lot M on Riegel Road. Hourly paid parking is available within the teal lines in Lot FF or on Price Drive in front of the Student Recreation Center. Contact your host team representative for specific parking details regarding your event.

Recreational Field Complex Quick Notes:• The complex consists of four artificial turf with a coconut and cork infill as well as two natural grass surfaces.• In the event of lightning and thunder, all play will cease. Participants and spectators will be instructed to go to

the desginated safety location or their personal vehicles until the all clear is given.• Metal cleats are prohibited.• No pets allowed.• No glass containers, gum or sunflower seeds allowed.• No alcohol, tobacco, or e-cigarettes allowed.• Do not insert any ground or tent stakes throughout the complex.• Fighting, unruly conduct, or improper use of equipment or facilities will result in a loss of recreation field

privileges.

Student Recreation Center Quick Notes:• The center consists of 4 basketball courts, 2 multipurpose courts, 8 lane-pool, locker rooms, and fitness center.• No food, gum or drink other than water is allowed in any activity area.• Non-marking athletic shoes are required for participation.• No tobacco or e-cigarettes allowed.• Fighting, unruly conduct, or improper use of equipment or facilities will result in a loss of privileges.• For events in the pool area, competition will cease in the event of lightning and thunder for at least 30 minutes.• Participants and spectators are restricted to their area of competition and cannot free play or use the fitness

center.

Note: Due to on-campus construction, the parking lots located near the Student Recreation Center are limited. Contact your host club representative for parking access.
