May 06, 2013 (MECCA) Delegation then left Jeddah for Mecca. Reach Mecca and transferred to Hotel. Later perform Umra and taken rest for next days meeting. As the delegates were tired and election in progress in the Mecca Chamber. In the noon delegates left Hotel to visit Mecca Museum where history of Kaba and Masjid Nabvi were collected.
Dinner was hosted by Mr. Karam Elahi with other business men to discuss how to improve business between both the countries and their bottleneck.

On May 08, 2013 The Delegation reached Madinah Chamber of Commerce & Industry where it was welcomed by its officials while its President Muhammad Bin Faraj Al-Khatrawi emerged Delegation to focus on joint venture between the two countries saying that Madina is a big expanding City and has big potential of investment. He floated an idea for establishing a joint venture for Towel Manufacturing Unit in Madina. He further said that Madina City has capacity to consumer Ahram 7.5 Million Per annum. Total visitor to Madina stands to 10 Million each year Medina required huge quantity of Ahram, Towel etc. K.S.A Government will extend financial assistance up to 60% with zero % markups
He gave statics of Saudi Export & Import. He said that Madina Chamber & Commerce Industry is promoting investment & Trade with friendly countries including Pakistan. Your country has big potential for joint venture with KSA in agriculture sector.
Afterword, Deputy Secretary General introduces all board members to the delegates. Mr Wahab Soomro Introduced to the board members with Mr. Mehta bud din Chawla, Mr. Mehta bud din Chawla opened the discussion and said, Pakistan is a peace full country but we have been involved in war of Terror which is hearting our country’s economy badly.

The Leader of Delegation Mr.Mehtabuddin Chawla, In his response, while thanking him on their warm reception offered an overview of Pakistan Export which contributes 60% of Textile Products and consists 40% Labour Force. He added that our main market of exportable goods is USA with 80% volume and rest of 20% goes to European Union. Now, we focus on Non-traditional markets aiming to establish business relations with Saudi Arabia. He also pointed out his attention towards tough formalities of getting Saudi Business Visa which takes 3 months and need to be relieved to some extent.

GSO STANDARD GSO 760/1997
IHRAM DRESS 1- SCOPE
This Gulf standard is concerned with Terry Woven Ihram Dress from Cotton used while performing Hajj and Umrah.
2- COMPLEMENTARY REFERENCES
2.1 GSO 759/1997 “Testing Methods of Ihram Dress”. 3- DEFINITIONS
3.1 Ihram Dress: Two separate pieces of woven not sewn cloth approximately equal in dimensions and weight, the Ridaa is wrapped around the upper part of the body, while the Izar is wrapped around its lower part.
3.2 Terry Weave: A weave construction in which some of the warp yarns form close loops
protruding beyond the cloth surface.
4- REQUIREMENTS
* Ihram dress shall fulfil the following: 4.1 It shall be terry woven from evenly spun cotton yarns (100-1% cotton) and
weave construction shall be of terry type and neither of the two pieces shall be made up to dimension by sewing or otherwise.
4.2 The number of total warp yarns shall not be less than 24 threads per cm to
Be arranged 1:1 or 2:2 and that of weft yarns not less than 14 ends per cm. 4.3. The mass of square metre of the cloth shall not be less than 250 g.

4.6.1 The breaking strength in warp directions shall be not less than 30 kg/5 Cm and in weft direction not less than 32 Kg/5 cm.
4.8 PACKING
The following shall be observed on packing ihram dress:
5.1 Each ihram dress (ridaa and izar) shall be packed together in a plastic bag or other suitable package so as to prevent penetration of dirt or foreign matter to the dress.
5.2 A suitable number of packages (5.1) shall be packed in carton boxes firmly closed.
6- MARKING
The following information shall be clearly and indelibly written in Arabic and English on packages (5.1) and boxes (5.2):
6.1 Name of the product “Ihram Dress”. 6.2 The manufacturer’s name and/or trademark. 6.3 Country of origin. 6.4 Length and width of either parts of ihram dress. 6.5 Mass of square metre, in grams. 6.6 Number of packages in the box

7- SAMPLING
Sampling shall be as follows:
7.1 * The consignment shall be divided into groups containing ihram dress of the same type and batch. 7.2 A number of samples shall be randomly drawn from each group in
accordance with table (2). samples drawn as listed in column (2) of table (2) shall be used for visual inspection, determination of dimensions and number of yarns per cm tests.
7.3 Sub-samples shall be drawn as listed in Column (4) from the main
samples of Column (2). They shall be used for determination of mass per square metre, dimensions change or washing, water absorbency time, percentage of the cotton fibres of the cloth, weaving structure of fabric and determination of breaking strength tests.

8- TESTING
8.1 Tests shall be carried out according to the standard mentioned in 2.1
8.2 Tests The following tests shall be carried out on the samples drawn according to item 7:
8.2.1 Visual inspection. 8.2.2 Measurement of dimensions. 8.2.3 Determination of the number of warp and weft yarns in cm. 8.2.4 Determination of the percentage of cotton fibres.
8.2.5 Determination of weave construction.
8.2.6 Determination of mass per square metre.

8.2.7 Determination of dimensional changes after washing.
8.2.8 Determination of time of water absorbency.
8.2.9 Determination of breaking strength.
9- RULES OF ACCEPTANCE AND REJECTION 9.1 Each consignment shall be accompanied with an approved
certificate indicating its compliance with this standard.
9.2 The group shall be considered conforming when the samples pass all the tests specified in this standard and when the number of noncomforming samples does not exceed the permissible number specified in Column (3) of Table (2), otherwise the group shall be considered not confirming.
