We want to try and prevent “slips & falls” as best we can. Areas that may have lifted up should be “marked out” cautioning all those who use them.

Charlesview Residences Named Crime Watch Group of the YearCharlesview Residences was recognized as the top Crime Watch Group of the Year based on a variety of programs offered at its Josephine A. Fiorentino Community Center. Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and Boston Police Commissioner William Evans were on hand to present the certificate of honor. The day also featured free barbecue, ice cream, kids’ activities and music, as well as an outdoor

screening of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

Peter Sanborn Resident Celebrates Her 104th BirthdayThe town of Reading proclaimed that a day in November will be known as Eloise “Lovey” Shannon day! The Peter Sanborn community overflowed with state and local officials, the Reading Fire Department, Northeast Metropolitan Vocational School students, residents and staff celebrating Lovey’s 104th birthday!

Resident Artists Featured in NAHMA 2018 CalendarFeatured Talent: Winnie Mei from Charlesview Residences and Jean Mistretta from Linwood Mill. Winnie and Jean were selected out of almost 5,000 national poster entries! In addition, at the Regional level, Winnie wins the Best in Show Award and the Carol Davidson Memorial Award.

Rita Hall - First Snow Fall - First Snowman - Resident Robert Trask builds a snowman for residents to enjoy at front entryway - 6th year in a row that he has built a snowman for the residents.

Howard House celebrated its 1st anniversary with residents, staff,

local officials, a number of HUD-VASH representatives and Brockton Veterans Affairs Hospital staff members and community providers. The celebration featured refreshments and a beautiful flower arrangement provided by Brockton Veteran Affairs Hospital Greenhouse and created by Greenhouse employees and HH resident Jeffrey Munsell.

Chosen by the University of Maryland School of Nursing and Penn State University, staff at Zelma Lacey House will learn to integrate physical activity into the daily lives of residents; previous research has shown that this approach can improve the physical ability of residents, thereby decreasing falls and hospital admissions. Zelma Lacey House is always looking for ways to improve the lives of residents.

Drum Creatively made a visit to Brockton Bixby Apartments, Brockton with residents and staff participating for an amazing musical event. Residents really enjoyed the day and found that they really might have some musical talent.

Thank you Mark Regan, Jose Brandao & Bobby Brinson, who have celebrated their 30 year anniversary with PPI in 2017. We commend their dedication, enthusiasm for their job and, their many contributions which have played a big part in the company’s success.

Braintree Village Knitting Club has donated over 160 hats (plus several scarves & blankets) to “Caps for Kids” at Brigham and Women’s Hospital so far this year.

PRSI Team Members attend Caritas Communities 32nd Annual Dinner. Caritas & PRSI have successfully partnered since 2000 providing RSC services.

The Moorings Celebrates 10 YearsThe Moorings at Squantum Gardens celebrated its 10th anniversary with residents, staff, and local officials. The September celebration featured a

delicious luncheon, music, and speakers, including Mayor Koch, Representative Ayers, and Councilors DiBona and Laforest. Additionally,

certificates were handed out to the over 90 residents who moved into The Moorings at Squantum Gardens when it first opened in 2007.
