The applications should be presented and collected in person by the applicant, by an accredited representative, or by the accredited person of an institution with which the Consulate has a cooperation agreement. The business hours of the Consulate are: 8:45 to 11:00 Visa applications 11:30 to 12:45 Visa collection 09:00 to 12:30 Amendments (in sealed envelope)

2- Documentation:

1. Complete visa application form with two recent passport-size photographs 2. Passport, valid for the whole period of the requested visa 3. Admission letter from the University, signed by the relevant authorities 4. Plan of studies 5. Accredited command of the Spanish language or the language in which the education will be received 6. Original and copy of previous academic degrees (primary, secondary, university, etc). The copies should be

translated into Spanish and certified by a Notary. 7. Documentation showing that the applicant has the necessary resources to live in Spain. The current

minimum level required by the Spanish law is €901.52 per month per person 8. Documentation showing that the applicant will have a place to live during her/his studies in Spain, stating

the address (original and copy) 9. Travel insurance for the whole period of the visa covering medical expenses and repatriation associated to

an accident or sudden illness. 10. For applicants below the legal age to abandon the country, a written authorisation from the parents or

tutors to go to Spain for the requested period and to the institution in point 3 above is necessary. This authorisation should be certified by a Notary (original and copy)

11. 2 self-addressed envelopes, with the address of the applicant, for notification purposes 12. “Hukou” (original and copy) Hukou is the pinyin for ‘Family book’. If the studies are for more than 6 months:

a. Health certificate showing that the applicant does not suffer any of the diseases subject to quarantine in the International Sanitary Code. The certificate should be issued by any of the hospitals recognised by this Embassy.

b. For applicants older than 16. Certificate of legal records, translated and certified by a Notary (original and copy). This document is valid for 3 months.

The cost of the visa is 630 RMB. The payment will be in remimbi. There are no additional fees

4- Other Consulates in China Applicants with “hukou” issued in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, and Jiangxi should apply for the visa in the Shanghai Consulate.

PODRÁN SOLICITAR UN VISADO DE ESTUDIO AQUELLOS CIUDADANOS CON HUKOU DE SHANGHAI, ZHEJIANG, JIANGSU, ANHUI Y JIANGXI.

1. PASAPORTE en vigor o TÍTULO DE VIAJE reconocido como valido en España, con una vigencia mínima

para todo el periodo para el que se solicite el visado. El original y una fotocopia. 2. DOCUMENTO DE IDENTIDAD Y HUKOU. El original y una fotocopia legible. 3. 2 FOTOGRAFÍAS RECIENTES Y FORMULARIO TOTALMENTE CUMPLIMENTADO, SIENDO OBLIGATORIO

EL NÚMERO DE TELÉFONO DEL SOLICITANTE. El original y una fotocopia por las dos caras en la misma hoja, y las 2 fotografías recientes pegadas.

4. ACREDITACIÓN FEHACIENTE DE QUE LA FAMILIA DISPONE DE UNOS INGRESOS QUE PERMITAN DESPRENDERSE DE UN MÍNIMO MENSUAL EQUIVALENTE A 900 EUROS (8.640 RMB) PARA FACILITÁRSELO AL HIJO QUE VA A ESTUDIAR EN ESPAÑA. (MOVIMIENTOS BANCARIOS DE LOS 12 ULTIMOS MESES). NO SE ADMITIRÁN GARANTÍAS ECONÓMICAS DE FAMILIARES O TERCERAS PERSONAS QUE SE ENCUENTRAN EN ESPAÑA AUNQUE SE COMPROMETAN A ELLO POR ACTA NOTARIAL. PREINSCRIPCION EN UNA UNIVERSIDAD O CUALQUIER OTRO CENTRO DOCENTE AUTORIZADO La carta debe ser en español, se presentará el original más una fotocopia, detallando el plan de estudios, formación o investigación que seguirá el solicitante. Aportar recibo de pago de la preinscripción, matrícula, etc.

6. DISPOSICIÓN DE ALOJAMIENTO PARA EL PERIODO DE ESTUDIOS SOLICITADO, con identificación (fotocopia del D.N.I., Tarjeta de Extranjero, etc.) de la persona dueña o responsable de la casa particular, residencia de estudiantes, familia, piso compartido, etc.

7. ACTA DE PARENTESCO. En el caso que las garantías económicas sean ofrecidas por los padres del solicitante 8. ACTA DE SALUD, si la duración de los estudios en España supera los seis meses. 9. 2- Estimated time for the visa: around 30 days if the documentation is complete and no amendments are

necessary

3- Letter of admission: the letter of admission should state the programme where the applicant is enrolled and also the curriculum of this programme. The travel insurance should cover medical expenses and repatriation associated to an accident or sudden illness during the validity of the visa.

4- Knowledge and command of the Spanish language: this Consulate General does not request 500 hours of

studies of the Spanish language, but an accredited knowledge of the language needed to undertake the studies. The DELE examination is, in principle, enough; although the Consulate General reserves the right to apply its own examination. If the language of the studies is not Spanish (e.g. English), the applicant should demonstrate the knowledge of this other language through any of the widely known examinations for this language (for English, for example, TOEFL, IELTS, etc). Nevertheless it is advisable that the student knows Spanish as this will be the language in which s/he will live in Spain.

6.6.- Income: this can be accredited by certificates issued by the companies where the student, the parents or

tutors work. Incomes from properties are also acceptable. Bank statements, property titles, as well as any other document proving incomes for the family will be accepted.

6.10.- Health certificate: the applicant should not suffer any of the diseases any of the diseases subject to

quarantine in the International Sanitary Code. The certificate should be issued by any of the hospitals recognised by this Embassy (see below).

Finally, the translations should be presented preferably in Spanish, but translations in English are also accepted.
