BUSINESS VISA - TOURIST VISA

SPECIFIC VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR UGANDA

BUSINESS VISA

� - original passport, valid for at least 6 months after return to Canada,

� - two (2) fully completed and signed visa application forms, BOTH with original signatures,

� - two (2) recent passport-style photographs,

� - Permanent Resident document, if applicable,

� - a letter from your company addressed to the Ugandan Embassy, stating the purpose of your visit,

the names and address of companies to be visited in Uganda, and giving a guarantee of financial

responsibility and return to Canada.

TOURIST VISA and the EAST AFRICA TOURIST VISA

� - original passport, valid for at least 6 months after return to Canada,

� - two (2) fully completed and signed visa application forms, BOTH with original signatures,

� - two (2) recent passport-style photographs,

� - Permanent Resident document, if applicable,

� - a return air ticket or an itinerary from your travel agent.

EAST AFRICA TOURIST VISA

� - An agreement between UGANDA and KENYA and RWANDA means a special multiple entry visa

will be sufficient for visiting all of the three countries. The visa is issued by the government of Kenya

and is valid for travel to all three countries. A visit to any other country (such as Tanzania or Zambia)

means a second Ugandan visa is required for Uganda, as well as for that other country.

YELLOW FEVER CERTIFICATE:

� - Visitors from or passing through a yellow fever and cholera zone (most of tropical Africa and South

America) must be able to produce a valid International Certificate of Vaccination. Air travelers who

only pass through the airports of such a zone are exempt from the requirement. Also be advised that all

travelers must be vaccinated against Meningitis Typhoid and Hepatitis.

SECURE PAYMENT FOR

TOURIST & VISIT VISAS

Visa Services Canada, Inc. is pleased to offer the most secure means of payment available in

Canada for the processing of your tourist or your visit visa. This is the mandatory payment form.

As of January 2017 tourist/visit clients must pay by e-transfer. Credit card is no longer accepted.

INTERAC e-Transfer ®

Interac e-Transfer is a funds transfer service between personal and business

accounts at Canadian banks and other financial institutions. You do not have to

provide any account details or even a credit card number to our company.

Our staff never see any of your account details when you use an e-transfer method

of payment. You deal only with your bank or financial institutions to make

payment in a totally secure environment right from your home or office.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Fill in the entire visa application form, including the VSC cover page above, and send it

to our office by courier or e-mail as applicable.

2. Our professional staff review your application and determine the total payment (including

taxes and shipping) to be made by you.

3. Our staff send you an e-mail detailing the full and final charges. This email will

contain all the instructions for making the e-transfer. It will include the e-mail and

security codes, and step-by-step instructions for you.

4. You, or a friend or relative acting on your behalf, make the e-transfer to VSC for all the

visa processing charges and fees.

5. It takes about 30 minutes for the bank to send the e-transfer notification to our office.

We then receive the funds and can then pay the embassy on your behalf. Payment must be

received before the embassy can be approached with your application.

YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS

Applicants MUST provide at least one (1) working and monitored e-mail address on the VSC

cover page so that our staff can contact you with details of the payment. Please provide two.

An application form without a typed correct and monitored e-mail address cannot be processed.

Applicants who respond immediately are assisted first. Applicants who do not respond within

three days (72 hours) will have their applications cancelled and their passports prepared for

return. Failure to respond promptly may result in you missing your journey.

GENERAL VISA INFORMATION

Visas are valid only from the date of issue and stated period.

REQUIREMENTS

• Two duly filled application forms by each applicant.

• Two colour passport size photographs. (Originals)

• Valid passport, valid for at least six months from the proposed date of entry.

• Correct visa fee, letter of invitation/introduction, if traveling on business.

Applicants may be requested to submit additional supporting documentation.

VISA FEES AND OTHER DETAILS

Only Single entry Visas are issued at a fee of US $50. Student Entry Visas are issued at a fee of US $100.

Visas are valid for three months from the date of issue. This means that a visa holder should use the visa within three months from the date of issuance. This does not mean the holder is granted 3 months to stay in the country. The length of stay in the country is determined by the immigration officer at the port of entry and begins on the day the holder enters the country, and not from the date when visa was issued.

Visas are issued within two working days from the date of receipt of the application. (For National Passport Holders). It may take a bit longer for other categories of applicants, depending on the information availed. Failure to fully complete the application form may result in the issuance of a visa being delayed or refused.

Visas issued at the High Commission enable the holder to proceed to a port of entry where he/she must comply with the laws and regulations governing the admission of persons to the Republic of Uganda. Possession of a visa is not a guarantee of entry to the country. Visas issued at the High Commission donot state the period the holder should stay in the country. Period of stay in the country is determined by immigration officers at the port of entry. The immigration officers may deny a visitor entry if he does not fulfill immigration requirements, or does not hold sufficient funds to support himself/herself for a reasonable period after his/her arrival, return/onward tickets and other documents required for his/her destination. * Please note that processing fee is non-refundable.
