VIRTUAL NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION As Dean College continues to navigate this unprecedented situation, we are steadfast in prioritizing the health and wellness of our students and their families along with our faculty and staff. With that in mind, New Student Orientation (NSO) will take place in a virtual environment this summer. We are fully committed to providing a program that will offer helpful and informative presentations that will make the transition to college as easy as possible.

INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS: • Sign up for your NSO date of choice at dean.edu/nso.

• Choose from three programs: NSO I: June 22–23, 2020, NSO II: June 25–26, 2020 or NSO III: July 9–10, 2020. • Live orientation sessions will take place on Day 1 of each scheduled NSO date. On Day 2 of the program, you will have the opportunity to have a one-on-one meeting with your Success and Career Advisor.

• Links for all live sessions will be sent out via the email used to register prior to each NSO program. • Information regarding how to sign up for the one-on-one meeting with your Success and Career Advisor will be sent out one week prior to your orientation date via email.

• In addition to NSO, a variety of meetups will be available throughout the summer so you can meet students from your major, students who will live in your residence hall, fellow commuters and more. • Bulldog Beginnings is a mandatory program for all first-year students and will occur in the days just prior to fall semester classes.

INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES: There will be both live and pre-recorded sessions for families that will cover all topics that you will need to know in order to help your student successfully transition to college. See the below family schedule for times. Live sessions and appointments for families will be on the NSO date that your student signed up for. Links for the live sessions will be sent to the family email address on file.
