Program Inclusions• Shared accommodation for entire program
• Group airport transfers at beginning and end of program (excluding USA programs)
• Welcome dinner, catch up dinners during program and farewell dinner
• Breakfast for first 4 mornings
• Orientation activities with local staff
• Limited internet at accommodation
• 8-week internship placement for each student
• Local staff to provide 24/7 students support
• Limited transport credit (excluding Europe programs)
• Visa processing assistance (Hong Kong only)
• **NOT INCLUDED: Airfare, required CISI insurance, visa fees (varies), required internship course (MGT 3754 Management Internships and Career Development), transportation, meals and entertainment in country
Eligibility Requirements
• GPA 3.0 and above
• Holds a valid passport (must not expire before Feb. ’20)
• Up to date and polished resume
• Eligible for specific visa (varies for each location)
• Completed application form
• Must meet with Dr. Jennifer Clevenger before applying
*Freshman are not eligible for the program
Step 1: Meet with Jennifer Clevenger before applying, then complete
application on university’s program page
Step 2: Pay non-refundable $1,000 deposit upon acceptance
Step 3: Interview with placement team via Skype
Step 4: Placement process begins
Step 5: Pay final program balance
Step 6: Receive placement details and travel to internship locations in
May/June!
Do NOT purchase airfare until you have officially been accepted on the
program.
Application Process
Placement Process▪ Step 1: Interview with Placement Teams
– Polished Resume
– Interview Form completed & will be reviewed during interview
– Review resume, skills, interests, previous experience
▪ Step 2: GAV will send through interview summary
– Return interview summary and sign bottom of page, return signed copy to GAV team at [email protected]
▪ Step 3: Interview Notes will be sent to In-Country Placement Team
– USA team will send all interview notes, forms, & up-to-date resumes to in country placement team
– In-country placement team will review notes and tailor search
– Placement Process done by in-country Placement Team
▪ Step 3: Placement Process
– In-country placement team will liaise with potential host companies and US team
– Companies may request additional interviews or clarification on specific skills/interests during process
▪ Step 4: Final Selection by Company
– Once your placement is confirmed, we will send through a position description and agreement

AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND• Population: 1.5 million, (they have 7 sheep for every 1 person ☺)
• The Maori name for Auckland is ‘Tamaki Makaurau’ and for New Zealand is ‘Aoetaroa’.
• Auckland has more yachts per capita than any other city in the world and is known as the City of Sails
• Major economic center of New Zealand with a focus on Services and Commerce
• Internship placements for all majors

• Winter Climate: 50’s (daytime) and 40’s (night)
• Ranked one of the top cities for quality of life

HONG KONG• One of the world’s most densely populated cities
• Population: 7.3 million with a total area: 426 square miles
• Three sections of Hong Kong: Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories
• Urban living + lush green space

• Major focus in: international business, HR, insurance, marketing/PR/communications
• World leading financial center, trading economy and service economy
• Headquarters to many of the Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000
• Blend of Eastern and Western Culture
• Common Languages: English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. *Do not need to know any other languages than English for the program
SINGAPORE• Population: 5.5 million with a total area of 278 square miles
• Two degrees off of the equator
• Fourth largest financial center and second busiest container seaport in the world

MUNICH, GERMANY• Population of 1.5 million (third largest city in Germany)

• Centrally located on the continent – very connected and easy to get around!
• Munich features the strongest economy and lowest unemployment rate in Germany
• Center for finance, biotechnology, software, service industries (with internships in all areas of business)
• Major focus in: German language, information systems, marketing/PR/communications and sales
• Placements are typically in start-up to mid-sized companies
• Munich is at the heart of Germany’s high-tech industries
• Currency used: Euro
DUBLIN, IRELAND• Population: 1.9 million people living in Greater Dublin area
• Dublin has youngest population in all of Europe. 50% is less than 25 years of age.
• Dublin region is economic center of Ireland
• Dublin is home to many of the top global IT and software companies
• Other large industries include digital and creative, financial services, tourism, and pharmaceuticals
• Placements in all areas of business & start-up to mid-sized companies
• Currency used in Dublin is the Euro
• Official spoken language is English (street signs and official building are in both English and Gaelic)
NEW YORK CITY, USA• Largest city by population and economy in the USA by a wide margin: 8.5
million people
• Five boroughs: Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island
• Largest central business district in the world
• More than 800 languages are spoken in NYC
• New York City is the single largest regional urban economy in the country with Financial Services being its largest industry
• Internships in all areas of business with major focus in: marketing/PR/communications, engineering, information systems and logistics/supply chain
