The Virginia Cinderella program is a state affiliate of the International Cinderella Scholarship Pageant, the largest and most prestigious youth scholarship pageant in the world. Throughout its 40-year history, Cinderella has awarded millions in college scholarships. Its endurance is evidenced by the return of generations of Cinderella girls to the program each year.

Get to Know Cinderella

Cinderella emphasizes the whole package. A Cinderella girl shines in a judges interview because she is comfortable around both adults and kids. She carries herself with confidence and poise. Her inner beauty radiates as much as her outward appearance. And as she grows, her hard work and discipline are evident in her talent presentation.

Cinderella is a natural pageant…far from the glitz characterized on TV.

Who are Cinderella girls?

Abigail Spencer

TV and film credits include “Oz the Great and Powerful,” USA Network’s “Suits,” “Mad Men,” “Chasing Mavericks,” and “Children’s Hospital.”

Demi Lovato

Cinderella helped international music sensation Demi Lovato develop her talent. Lovato released her debut album in 2008, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard chart. In 2012, she took on a new role as a judge on “X Factor” and has continued to pursue several TV and music projects.

Tiffany Haas

Made her Broadway debut in “The Drowsy Chaperone” and played the role of Glinda in “Wicked” both on Broadway and in the national tour. Tiffany competed in the Miss America pageant as Miss Ohio.

Lisa Mandel

New York theater credits include “The Will Rogers Follies,” “Mamma Mia!” “The Producers,” and “Sunset Boulevard.” She also appeared on the small screen on “Late Night with David Letterman,” and “Casino.” Pageant followers may know Lisa as Miss Arizona.

Janelle Arthur

Best known as a top 5 finalist on American Idol, Janelle is a country recording artist who has performed with Vince Gill, Rascal Flatts and The Band Perry. She made her Grand Ole Opry debut in 2013.

Madison Curtis

Madison’s various TV and film credits include Disney and Nickelodeon productions and a starring role in “The Party Dress.” Madison also danced on “X Factor” and in several music videos.

Jaynee Lynn-Kitchen

A rising star, Jaynee Lynn sang on seasons 7 and 8 of America’s Got Talent. She played the role of “Anna” opposite Ryan Reynolds in the 2015 film “Selfless” and the role of Brianne in a 2016 episode of NCIS: New Orleans.

Shea Sullivan

As a talented dancer and choreographer, Shea received Drama Desk and Off Broadway Alliance nominations for production and choreography for the Off-Broadway Musical “Pageant.” Her long list of choreography credits have earned her Carbonell and Boadway World Theater awards.

Savannah Schechter

Today, under the name Savannah Lynx, she is a recording artist and co-star on the BET series “F in Fabulous.” Her single “Colors” released in 2014.

Ashley Saunig

The beautiful Ashley Saunig is best known today for her voice. Her voiceover credits include “Dora and Friends,” for which she earned a daytime Emmy for the title song; “An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong;” and ”Strawberry Shortcake: The Berryfest Princess.”

Susan Leilani Gearou

The multi-talented Susan earned international overall titles at Cinderella both as a singer and as a dancer. Her successful theater career has included national tours for “Ghost,” “Shrek! The Musical,” and “The Wedding Singer.”
