Important Car Care Tips To help protect your freshly painted vehicle

We have used the finest “waterborne” paint products by Sherwin-Williams on your vehicle. The following maintenance tips will assure a long lasting durable finish. Your vehicle has been hand washed and is ready to be subjected to the elements – including rain & snow. However, the paint is still fresh and needs to be treated slightly differently for the next 30 days. Following these simple maintenance tips and your vehicle will give you a long lasting, quality appearance.

PARKING Avoid parking under trees or near factories with heavy smoke fallout can cause damage.

Brush off Ice or snow. Do not scrape it off from the painted surface.

Extreme heat or cold should be avoided. In hot weather, keep the car in the shade whenever possible.

WASHING

Commercial car washes should be avoided for the first 30 days.

Wash with cold water using any commercially available car wash product.

Wash your car in the shade, not in the hot sun. Wipe dry with a soft clean towel.

Dry wiping with a dry cloth is NOT recommended.

Clean/wash your car if any tree sap or bird dropping should get on the paint as it can etch into & damage the paint on your vehicle.

If anti-freeze, gasoline, or window washer solvent is spilled on the paint surface, it should be rinsed off with water immediately.

Do NOT wax the painted panels for the first 30 days. After that, we encourage you to do so. Wax is one of the cheapest, yet most effective things that can be done to preserve and protect your vehicle’s paint.

DRIVING Gravel roads should be avoided. As should following vehicles when salt is on the roadways as the paint

is susceptible to chipping especially during the first 30 – 60 days
