The MAC Number is a unique hardware ID for each unit. The Mac Number can also be
found on a label on the unit.

The “Properties” tab allows you to enter a unique name for the device.

The “Log Level” is used to determine the complexity of the Syslog information that the unit will send. Level “1” is used
for typical call accounting.

Enter the time zone the unit is located in so that the unit can automatically adjust offset
from GMT.

VIP units can use DHCP but a Static IP Address is preferred.

Enter the IP address of the Gateway connecting the LAN to other networks

subnet.

The Send Beacon option will allow the box to send a packet every 10 seconds which has important information for use
in trouble shooting and system monitoring.

VIP devices can automatically send Syslog data to a Syslog server.

Enter the Dial Code which will be used to access the unit or channel.

Auto Destination is the Dial Code of another unit or channel to which the input of this
channel is automatically mapped.

Enter the CID Name and Number as they should appear on a Caller ID display.

Currently the VIP units only support the G.711 Codec. This Codec supports 8Khz of
bandwidth.
