This is based on a United States film directed by Neill lom!am"# It $as released on

%ugust &'() and co*ers $ide range of "olitical issues concerning a common "erson# It also

co*ers a su"ernormal en*ironment $hen by ta!ing "lace on a lu+urious s"ace, $hich is !no$n as

Elysium in the same time it ta!es "lace on ra*aged earth# -ne of the ma.or "olitical and

sociological areas this film e+"lores includes immigration, e+"loitation, o*er"o"ulation, and

class issues# This "a"er is more interested on $hat the citizens of Elysium consider as *iolence#

concern to the citizens of Elysium and this creates a $ide ga" bet$een those "eo"le from the

earth and those from Elysium#

Using force to $in liberty for the fe$ "eo"le is a "ositi*e thing according to the citizens of

Elysium# 5a.ority "eo"le on Earth are handled $ith brutality a scene creating a "ity "icture on

those li*ing on Earth because they are handled as sla*es# 6obot "olice ma!es arrests

indiscriminately to the under "ri*ileged, according to the "eo"le from Elysium, this is .ust

normal# 9etting robots and 6oboco" to control the normal human being is so inhuman but it

the healthcare and the income ga" is a ma.or concern too, this e+tends the differences $ith

Earthly and Elysium# The film does not ha*e much cogent to e+"ound on the im"ortance beyond

ha*ing a child as a "ositi*e thing# 5a.ority of the Earth "eo"le are seen to o*ercro$d in the fe$

hos"itals a*ailable ma!ing their life unfa*ourable, $hile in Elysium life is *ery sim"le and

e*erything is ta!en care off# We see citizens from Elysium as trying to forgi*e or foreseen their

numerous logical fla$s, and much of $hat ha""ens doesn’t stand u" to scrutiny# E+"loitation is

one of heinous act one can "ractise o*er a human being= in this film "eo"le from Elysium

consider e+"loitation as a normal thing in the lifes"an of a human being# In the Elysium there is a

lot life and those citizens are free and get $hat they need, but coming do$n on the earth "eo"le

are e+"loited li!e animals $ith no one ha*ing mercy or concern about them# %ll these, in a

in their secluded "lace and anything that may try to distort this is counted as *iolence# This film

In this film, $e can see that there is a $ay out to reach Elysium from the Earth# 7When

be used to ma!e all of Earth’s residents legal citizens of Elysium, but in the same time, the

reasons $hy Elysium citizens belie*e and consider *iolence as not really *iolence is because

com"uter core is rebooted, registering almost all the citizens from the Earth and they become

matter ho$ "olitical leaders uses their "o$er o*er the "oor, one day the "oor $ill get em"o$ered

and eBuality $ill come to "re*ail and the *iolence $ill cease# We $itness the ?resident ?atel,

$ho bro!e in to the com"uter core $ith his security team in order to arrest S"ider, but this turned

to be in *ain since the S"ider $as already registered as a citizen from Elysium and nothing could

ha*e been done to him since robotic guards recognised S"ider as a citizen# %t the end of this film

$e see *iolence bet$een the classes coming to an end# Some medical machines and com"uters

are ta!en to Earth since they no$ recognizes citizens from the earth the same $ay li!e those

Conclusion

Violence e+ists es"ecially $hen there are scarce resources to ser*e all# This $as the case

bet$een Elysium and Earth citizens# %nytime there is *iolence there must be those su"erior and

inferior, and the su"erior $ill al$ays undermine the inferior ones# In this thriller scientific film

the Elysium citizens $ere considered to be su"erior and got su"erior ser*ices such as medical

and health ser*ices, since they $or!ed digitally and com"uters could recognise them unli!e those

"eo"le from the Earth suffered all through since they $ere o*ercro$ded and they had no one to

fight for them#

?eo"le struggle to their best des"ite their inferiority, $ith ho"es that finally things $ill get

to an eBual le*el# ?eo"le from the earth faced a lot *iolence and hardshi"s from Elysium citizens

goals and achie*e Elysium registration hence getting eBual ser*ices and chance to li*e freely

distributed#
