Campus Hulchul

A Medical Camp was organized by Sanghini Capital with the help of JNU Hospital on 14th May. It included General, Dental & Eye checkup of all the students. A health & hygiene session was conducted by Dr. Rashmi Saraswati regarding bad touch & good touch and about healthy lifestyle.

A 6 day Teachers' Training Program organized for VGS teachers from 31st May to 6th June. It was conducted by Durga Devi Charitable Trust. The training was mainly for pre-primary and primary teachers and included sessions on overall pedagogy and methodology of teaching mathematics.

Various competitions were organized. An essay writing competition on the theme “Swachata Abhiyaan” was organized by Government of Rajasthan on 23rd May. 25 VGS students participated & 3 students won prizes. A drawing competition was organized by SBI Bank on “Environmental Day”. Another drawing competition was organized by NSIC (The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.) at Vimukti campus. The topic was Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Ms Kate Coursey, under the Fullbright Scholar Program, joined in August for 7 months and conducted spoken english classes for the benefit of VGS students.

As part of our endeavor to empower our students, we invited Azad Foundation to

conduct 30 hour self-defense and personality development programme called

Azad Kishori Programme.

Sports Day was organised for pre-primary and primary sections in December.

Even teachers were given a chance to display their sporting abilities.

“Ambition is the first step to success. The second step is Action ”

Kanchan Sain is 19 years old. She is an Ex-student of Vimukti Girls School. She

studied in VGS till class VIII and then appeared for her class X through open

schooling under the guidance of VGS. She then joined a Government school in

class XI.

After completing her school in April 2016, she opted for a 2 year Beautician

course from Government Polytechnique, Jaipur. Vimukti Sanstha, aided by

EduGirls USA, provided financial support to Kanchan to pursue this course. She completed the course this year and is now placed in a Beauty Parlour and

earning around Rs 6000 per month. She wants to become a Make-up artist and to

open her own Parlour.

Kanchan’s father Mr Raju Sain is a driver and her mother Mrs Pushpa Sain works in a boutique. She

has one younger sister who is studying in college and one younger brother studying in class VIII in a

government school. The family is finding it difficult to support their education expenses and Kanchan

is now happy to support her parents financially.

Kanchan is a strong and an ambitious girl. She wants all the girls to focus on their ambitions and more

importantly she wants that parents should support their daughters to help them fulfill their dreams just

as her parents are supporting her.
