Families Helping FamiliesThe Canyon Pointe Angel Tree

This time each year our children sit down to make long wish lists for Santa to guide us all in gift giving. However, for some of our Canyon Pointe children their wish lists will go unanswered. Yes, this is true. For this very reason we are teaming up to ensure that the children in our school have an opportunity to find at least one of their wish list items under the tree on that very special morning.

If you would like to help, please come by the school to pick an Angel on the Christmas tree in our lobby. This is a new twist on our annual toy drive and we hope you, and your children, will find it to be a rewarding experience.

Happy AnniversaryAmy & Jamie Parker will be celebrating their 6th anniversary on

Dec. 16th. Happy Anniversary! We hope you have a day full of happy memories and fun times for many more years to come!

Melvin & Dolores Childers - December 27th - 10th Wedding Anniversary!! Congratulations you two! We wish you a fun fabulous filled day created by love and admiration for one another for many more years to come!!

Greetings fellow citizens. Your MUD board is hard at work keeping everything in VNP running smoothly and at the same time doing our best to be as efficient as possible. At our meeting in October we reassessed our bond commitments and bank balances and have determined that we are able to reduce the tax rates once again. On your next tax bill you will see a reduction from $1.03 per $100 valuation to $.98 per. This is a nickel reduction and while it is small…it is a move in the right direction. As we continue to build out the neighborhood and the tax burden is spread over more homes, we should continue to be able to reduce the rate levels in future years. We are also working on water conservation measures as we are continuing to use more water per capita than our neighbor MUD’s. Apparently we love to water our lawns just a little more than the next guy. MUD 281 in conjunction with are partners in the WCID are striving to find ways to save water in our common areas as well, particularly the esplanade along Northpointe Blvd. All options are on the table including better

water sensors as well as new water use rate structures that will benefit those who are most water conscious. Your feedback in this area is welcomed…please send any ideas and suggestions to [email protected] and I will make sure your voice is heard at the MUD meetings. And finally, we want to wish all of our neighbors a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and yours. Until next time here’s a little holiday humor to brighten your season:

If you deep fry Santa Clause…do you end up with a Crisp Cringle?

He gave her a fork for Christmas because there is no tine like the present.

How do you know a reindeer has been in your fridge?....the hoofprints in the butter!

See you next year! Paul.
