Neve TsedekVilla Shira Boutiques Before the rise of Tel Aviv’s effervescent cultural scene, Neve Tsedek was the quiet home of merchants and artists, for whom the neighborhood was a source of nostalgic inspiration.

Over the years, in a process similar to that of New York’s Soho, Neve Tsedek was infused with new life, evolving into a trendy, hip neighborhood with a vibrant, youthful pulse. The neighborhood has a unique eclectic feel; modern luxury residences brush against classical architecture, locals mix with foreigners, and designer boutiques, restaurants, and cafés thrive.

Tedeschi in Tel Aviv

The Italian gallerist Ermanno Tedeschi opens in Israel

Contemporary artists know that if their work ends up in the hands of Ermanno Tedeschi it

could eventually hang on the walls of renowned collectors and museums. Within Italy's

artists about the world of art as it differs between Israel and Italy. In a trendy area

where there are more boutiques and cafés than galleries, the

Ermanno Tedeschi Gallery has found its own niche.

..Tedeschi toyed with the idea of opening up a gallery in New York but found the energy

of the artists of Tel Aviv’s contemporary art scene that he has been working with over the

past ten years too alluring to pass up.

"I believe in using art as a means of bridging international relations between artists," said

Tedeschi while in Tel Aviv for his show. "And that’s why it feels right to open up this

gallery in a neighborhood, which, in Hebrew, means, Oasis of

Peace."
