After the Tet holidays of
2011 almost all of our em-
ployees came back to work
full of enthusiasm after their
holidays, and started their
work determined to make
our company successful. We
promised to teach you all
newer ways of working and
to help you to all improve
your speed and efficiency
without having to work long
hours and with far too many
garments getting in the way
of good quality and a smooth
flow of work. We have made
good progress throughout the
last year and we are now on
the way towards our goal of
being the best garment mak-
ing factory in Ho Chi Minh !
The secret of your success is
that with far less semi-
product laying in piles
around the lines everyone
can work more effectively,
see where all the panels are
situated, and have far more
space to move the pieces
around, taking less time to
adjust the fabric as it is pre-
sented to the sewing needle.
There is also a big improve-
ment in the right-first-time
quality of the finished product
which can be readily seen in
the production figures re-
corded each hour at the end of
the team lines.

sure why this should be the
case since we are sure that
there are many girls who are
very capable of running
faster, further and longer

We will try to address this after Tet by providing more
chances for our ladies to be
sporting. We will organise
football practice, badminton
and another new table tennis
table only for the use of the
girls during lunch-time and
after work. We hope that this
will get you ladies fit and
enjoying your free-time
more whilst you are with us
in the Viking Vietnam fac-
tory.

Time fly, the year 2011 has just come to a close. Let’s welcome a new year with new
hope for higher performance. As the message from our GD- Viking – your trust &
innovation, our BOM is always look for best welfare policies for all of you, and our
factory will be innovated day by day by yourself from your better habits for discipli-
nary compliance, working method LEAN or working environmental conditions, etc.
BOM has done and continue doing the best to make Viking become a huge family for
every employee.
Therefore, no matter how far you come from, or how geographical, culture difference
you are! You are essential member of Viking team to work together and have great
effort for daily living and put your faith upon Viking innovation as the statement of
our GD.
It does not sound untrue to look at the welfare activities for our labourers:
When the inflation happened continuously, price is high and the life become dif-
ficult, BOD has decided in time for increasing salary, supporting allowance, etc.
Training for unskilled workers to upgrade the level for labourers
Training for Management team for managing production line more effectively.
English training or organise useful English Quizzes
Improve the quality of meal by increasing price up nearly 50%
Not only reward for good performance but also encourage the efforts for labourers
Year-end meaningful present for everyone
Create play ground for employees by singing contest on the year end party
Organise & support sports activities as football, table tennis for break time, etc.
Especially, it is surely surprised for you to know that our Chairman – Mr. Kurt is
planning to build up a Kindergarten for supporting our Viking labourers or benefit
for transport fee after Tet holidays, when you come back on time to celebrate the
new year welcome on the first day.
We always listen & concern everybody to bring you the belief in daily life.
Therefore, let‘s join our Viking family & do the best performance for
upgrade our Viking to new greater height in the year 2012!

With the influence of the economic crisis form the middle of 2008,
Viking Viet Nam as well as the garment company have met two
much difficult in order to keep the stable in production and ensure the
life for worker. However, with the exerting of ourselves and the sup-
port of the mother company-Viking Rubber A/s, we step by step over the difficult and develop.
Year 2009, 2010 we can proud we are top in Hoc Mon regarding the average salary and other
benefit for worker.
One the way of development, Year 2011 is the year we have the best result regarding the Turnover
and profit from the establish date. With 41% increasing in turnover compare with last year, 120%
increasing in profit from the production activity, all of you can be pride of. Besides that, the benefit for employee has also in-
creased 25-50%, the payment of salary on time, the meal has improved, the working environment is friendly and clear. That is
the result of the effort of all of us.
Year 2011 has been passed, the New Year has opened with the strong confidence in the target - Viking Viet Nam the first-class
company. I believe that with the management of our GD, the consultant of Mr Ken, the support of Chair man-Mr Kurt and the
important thing is the effort of all of you, we will meet the target in very near future.
Now, it is time for Tet holiday, wishing you and your family the healthy, prosperous.

With the holidays fast approaching, there is much to cheer about this holiday season after 1year hard work-
ing, I am reminded of some of the days of the past year, some joyous, some difficult, sometimes its "ups
and downs" but each given to me as part of my life. Each day is a time to enjoy and learn more about our-
selves and an opportunity to serve one another.
July 27th, 2011 I joint to Viking family as a pleasure to see all of you here. Although we play in different
role and position, to make the group running to the target and your support means the lucky things to me, It
is very glad to work with all of you especially deeply thanks for the guide of Mr Ken and Ms Nha. What-
ever, every party goes to the end.... I might just attend the party in the mid-time, and ending soon but I
wish the party can be more happy after my leaving. Thanks that I ever enjoy the delight of your party here.
In conclusion, my challenge to myself and welcome each new day as it is served to the job to make the
best use of the day we are given in love, forgiveness, and friendship. No matter how joyous or challeng-
ing, I realize the most important that do we cherish and really to serve others with a smile and right atti-
tude or do we ignore it? Certainly, we are given each day as a gift and it is our choice how we use it,
Then it is very important to have strong partners to help each other for Viking do continues to innovate
in 2012 will surely bring many challenges and opportunities for all of you.

Dear my family - Viking A year will pass soon, perhaps this moment everyone is hangover, nervous, and start preparing for a
joyful new year with many concerns including the troubles.
1 year has passed with a lot changes and achievements. All we had worked together and traveling on a road to building a Viking
on the development and made everybody have well life.. There have been times , the workers sad, discouraged when we met
some problems such as :new orders and the way for sewing is difficult, productivity is not high ... but with determination we
have overcome.
In recent years, Viking has a healthier, more beautiful than the previous year, which is why we have operated a system, initially
applying LEAN manufacturing methods, higher productivity and life of all staff is greatly improved.
Analysis of the closely related between the parts of the company, we can see the Viking is a man, and each of us is the cell in
the body, if we want a healthy body, energetic, all of us must strive together, if only to eat, does not work, the body will be
obese, if only work and without eating then you cannot live, if you want to have Silky straight hair then you have to regular care
hair ... as well as if we want machine is good running then you have regularly maintenance ...
To say that so everyone felt you are really important in the development of the company.
In addition, I would like to thank all of you in technical dept. , you have made an effort to complete the
work even if that sometimes there are still limited. I hope that in the new year, along with the expan-
sion of the company, people will continue to strive to develop the job.
Finally, I hope for the whole family ..........................
I wish someone had their children will be docile, good student. Who would not have the expected
birth with princess or prince, and who haven’t get married will look forward to seeing each other in
new year ... and finally wished everyone happiness and healthly

VIKING’s the ways
Viking’s precursor was a joint venture with the number of workers does not exceed 20 peo-
ple, specializes in producing PVC, everything is primitive, lack of facilities, each tide is
flooding over a half wheels but the people were very pleasant work, cooperation and shar-
ing.
Second step, Viking is began to expand production in the B17 with 6 lines about 200 work-
ers, that stage was quite difficult. With the guidance of the Board of Directors along with a
consensus of us all, although not as expected but also have marked developments.
Third step, Viking expand production again at the B23 & B24 This is the mark of great
development with nearly 500 employees have been training became skilled workers.
Turning look back over six years, what we have done and what not? This is the develop-
ment stage with the fierce competition of the domestic companies and foreign compa-
nies. What the Board of Directors need to do is improve income levels and stable life for
workers. What the workers needs to do is dedicated service for company and people must
to understand that the company get profitable is our life have been improving, this year is
the first year our company achieved profitability so we get higher benefits, more than ever
that the efforts of all our Viking.
After a hard working year to welcome the New Year everyone have a special plans for
yourself, your family, visiting relatives, recreation with saving household expenses in your
fund amassed in a year and we believe that next year with your efforts the Board of Direc-
tors promise that the New Year is always more enjoyable festival than last year.

Tet is coming! The breath of spring spreading on every street corner and coming everywhere in our Viking working places.
One year passed, we have made efforts, come up against difficulties for our Viking development. This year will be the starts for
developing, innovation and changing in working methods as applying LEAN method for production and we have got some cer-
tain achievements though we have faced difficulties when starting.
That proved that we are able to accept and integrate with new & good things, high technological
methods. Nothing will be obstacle on the developing ways when Viking is a big family and we are
children hand in hand to come up the challenges to succeed and develop for a new height.
6 years passed from the foundation of Viking, we change everyday, every year, but all things are aim-
ing at improvement purpose for our Viking employee’s daily life.
Thanks to all for build up a now day Viking, a Viking – Trust & Innovation. Let’s keep your strong
belief for Viking development. Tet holiday is near to us, wishing all happy and healthy.

We all wish you have a wonderful and happy time with your family and
friends during the Tet celebrations, but do please remember we have great

We will continue to improve the conditions of our factory, to give everyone more
training to make your work more skilled and efficient, so that we become one of
the best place in Ho Chi Minh City to work!

Hello again Vietnamese Vikings ! It seems just a very short while ago that we all took our annual Tet holidays in
2011, but amazingly here we are ready to celebrate Tet in 2012!
I hope that you have a wonderful time with your families and friends, eat well and
relax during this precious festival period.
In the West we celebrate Christmas and the New Year, but in much the same way
as the Vietnamese people do, we reflect on the past, enjoy the time of the present,
and look eagerly towards the future for our health, wealth and happiness.
Viking has been selling our products to some new and highly prestigious custom-
ers recently, and we have maintained full production even during the period when
most countries have experienced a time of financial crisis due to the world-wide
recession. Our success has been due to the very high quality products that we are
able to make through the control of our technical and quality teams, the skills, and
care taken by all our workers from the warehouse, the cutting room, the sewing
room and the finishing teams. Viking would like to thank you all for the wonder-
ful work you have all done and the results which have been achieved.
Viking has a never ending commitment to the training and improvement of skill
of all our management and workers. We have increased our production teams and
you will all have seen the more careful approach we now have towards the selection and employment of new workers. Our new
human resource and training teams provide a much kinder induction for all new staff, and we have begun multi-skill training for
all our teams. Our supervisors, and other management staff are also learning new skills and techniques to ensure that Viking
Vietnam will soon become the one of the very best specialist garment makers not just in Vietnam—but the world!
Our plans for 2012 are even more exciting! We will continue our skills training programmes and will soon offer more incentive
for all our teams to reduce costs, and to produce garments more efficiently. When we are successful this will give an opportunity
for the teams to earn team-based bonus payments for high quality production.
Viking Denmark continues to sell well these highly-valued products, and we also continue to receive increases in orders from
our well-established customers such as AHS, and Borch, and the UK army. We are also soon to start the manufacture of rain-
wear for PUMA – one of the most best sportswear brands in the world. These contracts will ensure the future of Viking Vietnam
for many years to come, all of our jobs, and even an increase of around 60 further employees in the coming year.
We plan to increase our support of sport facilities for all our employees with a second table-tennis table for our ladies, badmin-
ton facilities and better outdoor seating to be used during break-times. We will continue to support those of you who wish to
improve your English language in your spare time, and hope to see more of you at the regular English quiz which we will now
hold in the canteen so that more people can attend and take part.
Some of you may have heard about our recent expansion plans for a new factory in Bangladesh and may even have spoken to the
young gentlemen we have employed and who visited with us in December 2011. Viking has in the past been many times asked
by our customers to supply very basic and cheap work-wear and in most cases we have had to refuse this request because our
capacity in Hoc Mon was already sold out. Our plans to open a new, much smaller factory in Bangladesh will fill this need for
the future. Each part of the Viking Group is vital in support of the whole to make high quality products and to secure employ-
ment for our workers for many years into the future. This goal can only be achieved if we all play our part and work together as
a true and trusted team each supporting the efforts of all with the skill and commitment you all possess.
I wish you all a wonderful Tet holiday and a truly successful future together in
the Viking Company for many years to come.

My dear family
It was my honour when I had the chance to build and travel with all of you in the Viking
path from 2005 until today.
With me –the Viking family is really a wonderful family and has great significance in my
mind. I hope and believe that you may have the same opinion as I do!
As a manager, I try my best to build a close-knit family, which lives together in perfect har-
mony.
I do my best to share the difficulties which our family can meet on the way, because I don’t
wish it to effect too much with our private lives. We are always looking for the positive,
smart solution together to help us all to find success.
We have the honour of sharing as much as possible from our profit with our family member
as well as increasing higher level of benefit.
We have achieved many good things in 2011 - we reduced over time working to an average
only 5 hours per week and our income increased by 10%. We are also happy that we did
better than we promised for all of you last year. This was a major step for our development.
We have continued with our commitment to you for healthcare, studying , sport etc and
these are practical benefits for all.
We are proud of that we have all built a polite and caring society in our workplace .
We are proud of your positive attitude towards changes in your team structures which will
contribute so much towards our success on the innovation path we have chosen for
VIKINGVIETNAM. We believe that has been a large contributor for our recent successful
and is helping to build a solid base for our future.
We believe that we can achieve still more in the near future if we continue to work closely
in our family together.
In new year we intend to make further improvements by -
The better use of the Lean method in all departments, continuous training and de-
velopment of skills
Contribute to the building of VIKING BANGLADESH and other partners
Build a kindergarten to help share the difficulties of young mothers in our family.
Create more areas for healthy activity such as: karaoke, English teaching,
football , badminton, volleyball… for both men and women.
To improve our team balancing for the benefit of all team systems
We need to build better benefits, income, and to create the very best environment if
we are to ensure that all our member feel confident to stand with
us for the long term.
We are determined to do our best and we believe that VIKING
VN will be even more successful in the new year 2012 and this
will help to create the support and maintain the belief of our
family- VIKING VIETNAM.
I ask you please to hold firm with our beliefs. We are travelling
