November Newsletter – 2017 Dear Parents Welcome to your November newsletter. We have lots of upcoming dates to inform you about, including Christmas events (it’s a very exciting time of year!) Before we do, let’s reflect on October and all the fabulous activities the children took part in across the Nursery and After School Club. We have loved all things Autumn…..collecting leaves, making vegetable soup, exploring pumpkins and making big splashes with Autumn colours! Children attending Forest School have made the most of the seasonal changes. They have had the best time looking for the biggest and muddiest puddles, going on a mushroom adventure, making leaf crowns and searching for minibeasts. We will continue with the same timetable of children for the remainder of this term, up until Christmas. We will then create a new rota for the Spring term, January onwards. The new rota will gradually introduce Red Apples to the programme, so watch this space……..

November Newsletter – 2017

Dear Parents

Welcome to your November newsletter. We have lots of upcoming dates to inform you about, including Christmas events (it’s a very exciting time of year!)

Before we do, let’s reflect on October and all the fabulous activities the children took part in across the Nursery and After School Club. We have loved all things Autumn…..collecting leaves, making vegetable soup, exploring pumpkins and making big splashes with Autumn colours!

November Newsletter – 2017 In our Pips room - Eva, Polly, Archie and Hope started in October and have all settled amazingly! We are so impressed with how well they have

settled and look forward to spending more time getting to know them over the coming weeks!

In Blossoms - Chloe, George, Oliver and Sebastian have all started with us and are all progressing brilliantly. Blossoms is a bustling and busy room and the children have breezed in to the daily routine (they particularly love being outside!)

In Red Apples – We have welcomed Aoife and Maddilyn to our room. Both have had positive starts and settled very quickly. They are having a great time getting to know the staff and children.

In Green Apples – After half term week we welcomed up the remaining children, who have been settling from Red Apples. We now have a wonderfully busy room, with lots of fun activities and our forest school sessions. Next term we will complete a school readiness toolkit with you to see what support we can put in place for you and your child leading up to the Summer term.

We are sending out some settling in questionnaires for you all to complete and return to us to review the implementation of the 30 hours free entitlement and how your child is settling in to their new room. Please could we ask for you complete the questionnaire and return them to us by W/E 17th November – either by email or by hand.

Upcoming events and information – Remembrance Day – You are invited to join us on Friday 10th

November at 10.30am to walk up to Verwood Centre in time for 11.00am. We will be observing a minutes silence with the children and taking along our very own wreaths and poppy’s. We would be delighted if you could join us.

Children In Need - As you know we love to raise lots of money during November towards Children In Need and this year we will be taking part in lots of events leading up to Friday 17th

November – including a pyjama day and a yummy cake sale. Please look out for posters across the nursery with more information about dates and how you and your family can take part!

Parents Evening –

November Newsletter – 2017 Please be advised that we are hosting a parent’s evening on Tuesday 21st November, from 6.30pm-7.30pm. During the evening we will present

information regarding teachable moments, planning in the moment and learning through play. Then between 7.00pm-7.30pm you will have the opportunity to chat to staff in your child’s room, review your child’s progress and enjoy some light refreshments. This is not a formal 1:1 sit down with your child’s key person. However, if you would like to arrange a chat with them at any stage, please let them know and I’m sure they would be happy to arrange a time convenient for you both.

Green Apples Nativity Performance – We have booked the memorial hall (opposite Tesco) for Tuesday 12th December at 3.30pm. You should have all received a letter informing you of the dates/times and rehearsal schedule. If you haven’t received a copy, please pop in the office and I can print a copy out for you.

Photos are back - Hopefully you should have received your photos by now, if you child had their picture taken last Thursday. Aren’t they gorgeous?!? Please could we ask that you return your order to us by Wednesday 8th November at the very latest. Thank you.

Just a gentle reminder to ask that you all close the gate firmly behind you as you leave the Nursery.

Thank you and enjoy any fireworks celebrations!!
