Beaton Bulletin (April/May 2017) We had a great time with Grandpa and Granny Beaton in early April. One highlight was a garden party to celebrate both Jessie’s 10th and another of Granny’s birthdays. Lesley has been involved in setting up a ‘Little stars’ program for ladies with toddlers in Zomba. They meet weekly to sing songs, enjoy an activity and play/interact together Robbie had has frequent preaching opportunities and the response to God’s Word has been very encouraging. He also finished teaching his Christian Leadership class at the Bible College (EBCoM) and really enjoyed tackling a new and challenging subject with the students. The children have struggled with colds and flu lately but have pressed on with their home-schooling. Their swim training has ended as the weather is now ‘cold’ here. They have joined karate and kick-boxing lessons. We are prayerfully planning an over-seas trip for April/May next year (2018) to catch up with our friends and mission partners in England and Scotland. We feel that the Lord has been nudging us in that direction and thank God for generous friends/mission partners who have already contributed towards the trip.
