Eating Right for HealthFull Life

Have we been misinformed about how to eat in a healthy way? New research seems to show that we have.

In “Eating Right for Life” we will look at some of the misinformation we have been given and explore some different views on what is now thought of as a healthy way to nourish our bodies.

The information presented is intended to let you know that health can be vastly improved by lifestyle changes. There are no “magic pills” involved. What you do and what you eat will determine the degree of healthy living you enjoy. It takes a conscious decision and effort on your part to effect a change in your health – today and in the future.

The first of six sessions will be informational. Total attendance for the course will be limited. If you decide to “stay the course” your commitments should be for the next 5 weeks. If you miss the signup for a course, a waiting list will be started for the next one. Each session will be every Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 PM for six consecutive weeks. (First meeting will begin in October. The date will be determined soon).

At the end of six weeks you should have enough information, motivation and determination to start flying by yourself. Here are some things others have experienced.

Hosted by Frank & Lois AndertonSpring Hill, KSCall to sign up if you are interested (913) 592-2484.

Project WAY (Where Are You?)

The vision of Project WAY is to gather people together that have the same passion for theater and using these talents to glorify God. We will take each person’s ability and bring them together to show and present to others the glory of God through plays, skits and music.

Project WAY is not just for those who want to act, but also for anyone who has a passion for theater. This includes writers, actors, seamstress, scene constructors, lights, music, or graphics. Project WAY will be a group of believers who want to use this passion to share Jesus with others in different ways so people can be reached with the message of the Gospel.

Start meeting once a week. As the team gets going, this might change depending on needs. Day of the week has not been determined.

Brave? Who Am I?

The group will study the book: Brave and the Lesson by Angela Thomas. Angela looks boldly at some of the fears and struggles being an everyday woman. Angela helps us see how we can be Brave and Who Am I, in everyday challenges.

You've got questions. God's got answers. Be brave. Ask.

* Why can't I get it together?* Am I as invisible as I feel?* What am I so afraid of?

But if we can be brave enough to raise the questions, God will answer us.

For ages 16 and up. No child care provided.

Group will meet starting Tuesday September 29, 2015, in the Olathe area. There are seven sessions.

6:00pm to 7:30pm (first 30 mins. fellowship/snacks)

FREEDOM MINISTRY

Essentials of Freedom

The Essential of Freedom classes are designed to lay a foundation for your process of freedom. Each class provides part of a bigger picture that will challenge and encourage you to walk in the fullness of who you truly are in Christ. They are meant to be attended consecutively in order to receive progressive understanding of your freedom in Christ.

Class 1 – A Kingdom Parable

Jesus often taught in parables to catch the attention of His listeners and allow them to put themselves in the story. This class introduces Freedom Ministry by illuminating the story of the gospel through the telling of a parable. Come and find yourself in the story.

Class 2 – Levels of Change

This class is designed to help identify and avoid the traps we face when we attempt to change ourselves. More importantly, it explains God’s provision and strategy for changing your life from the inside out.

Class 3 – The Kingdom of God

What is God’s plan to heal our broken world? The purpose of this class is to help you more fully understand the message of Jesus and why it carried so much power to transform people’s lives. That same power can come into the center of your circumstances and bring transformation today!

Class 4 – Hearing God

God speaks to each of us personally, and the Bible makes it clear that we are able to hear Him. Learn why and how God speaks so you can recognize His voice, hear Him more clearly and receive the full impact of communication with the Creator of the universe.

Class 5 – Life in the Kingdom

Life in a heavenly kingdom is different than life in an earthly kingdom. This class is designed to help you learn the weapons of warfare as you learn to live differently. In this class, we also discuss the ways our responses to God can help us receive all He has to offer us.

Classes run: September 21 & 28 and October 5, 12 and 19. All classes begin at 6:30pm and will be held in the FLC-Sanctuary.

25
