I was born by the name Gesang Manggala Nugraha Putra. I have several nicknames, but most of my friends call me Gesang. I was born on February 14, 26 years ago in Surabaya, and I live there since then. I am currently working as a lecturer in English Department of Airlangga University. During leisure time, I enjoy reading, drawing, and most of all, fishing. To fully enjoy my fishing time, being fit and healthy is a must.

1. About me…

I always try to keep fit and healthy, so that I can do my activity without problem. There are some

things that I do in order to stay fit. First of all, and the most important, I don’t smoke. Smoking

is dangerous for you and those around you. Beside that, I also do regular exercise. Cardio

sport such as running or cycling is a must for me. Last but not least, I also pay attention on what I

eat and drink. By doing these steps, I can manage all my activities well.

2. My Life…

I was born and grew up in Surabaya. A wonderful city, if you ask me. As the second largest city in Indonesia, it is very well connected. You can reach this city from almost any other major cities in Indonesia, either through land, sea, or air. It has a complete infrastructure to maintain an entertainment-junkie like me: the shopping malls, places to eat, and entertainment centers.

I live together with my parents in a cozy place that I call home. It has seven rooms: three bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, a bathroom, and one miscellaneous room. The best part of the house is the front porch. There I can enjoy watching my lovely fish swimming in their aquariums, and listening to the sound of pouring water. What I don’t like is the paint. The combination of bright and dark color doesn’t seem right to me. I think paler color would do better.

My room is simply great. It is on the second floor and nobody lives there except me. It feels so spacious because I only put few furniture in it. It’s 6 by 3 meters and there are only two tables and one chair. My bed is foldable so I can put it aside whenever I need a large space. A window on the east side of the room allows the sun shines over it every morning, giving a warm atmosphere. A set of computer, TV, and 4-ways speaker system can keep me entertained. The only thing I hate is the little time that I can spend in it because of my busy work.

3. My Place…

To me, being fashionable means being comfortable. That’s why, my favorite clothes should look good on me and feels good at the same time. My favorite set of clothes is a combination of plain t-shirt and black blazer. It’s simple and stylish. I usually pair it with dark-colored jeans to create a semi-formal look. A pair of leather sneakers will strengthen the appearance, creating a casual-professional image. Another important set up is glasses. I have three sets of glasses to choose from, but my favorite is the silver half-framed.
