Remember, though, a theme is NOT just a word but an exploration of how this issue is dealt with in the text!

Task One

Match the quotations to the theme.Make sure you can justify your decisions!

Task Two

For each of the sections of text pick a key episode that develops your theme.

Find quotations you could use for each

Put these episodes into rank order according to how useful they would be to discuss when answering an exam question on the theme.

Plot onto your A3 graph grid making sure you mark down quotations.

Consider the following questions in regard to your theme:

What is Arthur Miller saying about this theme at the beginning / middle /end of the play?

What overall conclusion does he come to?

Which characters are key in representing this theme? Why? How?

Write up your answers in a word document so they can be emailed to the rest of the class please.
