The Museo della Ceramicadi Vietri (#6), or Vietri CeramicMuseum is housed in the Tor-retta Belvedere, near VillaGuariglia, in the small town of Raito, high above Vietri.

The museum shows the his-tory of the art and business of ceramics. It is divided intothree sections: a religious one,

another reserved to the everydayobjects and a German Periodsection.

The ceramic shops of Vietriare a show within the show. Thenarrow streets that rise on thebig terrace where the village

stands, are lined with small

shops and workshops with tiles,plates, holders, ashtrays, vases,figurines, tea and coffee services,sacred objects and the famousdonkeys, an ‘invention’ of theGerman potters.
