Vishveshwarya Group of Institutions (VGI) made its

genesis in 1999 under the banner of SHRINATH JI

TRUST, nurturing the mission to impart technical

education in all the possible corners of India. VGI, with

a competitive workforce constantly makes efforts for

the all-round development of students. With its first

step in Engineering and Technology in 2000,

Vishveshwarya Institute of Engineering & Technology

(VIET) took shape along with continuous

augmentation in spreading educational wings; as MBA

and MCA courses were started in 2001 and B.Pharma

course got its introduction in 2005 with the college

named Vishveshwarya Institute of Medical Science

(VIMS) with the constant academic growth and quality

policy.

VGI established two new institutions in the year 2007-

08 : Vishveshwarya Institute of Technology (VIT) and

Vishveshwarya School of Business Management

(VSBM), which soon made their mark in the field of

education.

The SHRINATH JI TRUST represents a rich tradition of

excellence in technology, management and pharmacy

education and is affiliated to MTU, Noida The rise and rush

for admission narrates the success and efficiency of VGI's

educational effort and "can-do" entrepreneurial spirit.

Though it is located in the outskirts, it is well connected through

the National Highway and our own bus facility for

students/faculty members and staff. Students need not go to the

city since Vishveshwarya itself is an education city with all basic

and necessary amenities/facilities within the campus (from Bank

ATM to stationery shop and from a Saraswati temple to retail

outlets like Nestle).

(Delhi-NCR) on main GT Road (Ghaziabad-

Bulandshahr Highway) that makes it perfect, ideal and

most suitable for academic pursuits. It is very

so that college administration can maintain the

discipline very well and inspire students to devote the

where you will embark on your first journey towards your career,

Education, value loaded & value driver viz helps

his vision. Established in 2000 viz. 3 Engineering

branches i.e. CS, IT, ET & ME in the year 2001 , EN in

the year 2003, it also introduced M.Tech. in 2010. It

never looked back in disseminating excellent

Keeping the pace alive, VIET offered some PG

Dadri and day by day is spreading its wings for

DEPARTMENT OF APPLIED SCIENCES &

HUMANITIES

Department of Applied Sciences is one of the strongest

assets of VGI with a fraternity of 50 faculty members.

Applied Science is the application of knowledge from one or

more natural scientific fields to solve practical problems and

is important for technology development. Fields of

engineering are closely related to applied sciences and their

use in industrial settings is usually referred to as research

and development (R & D). Due to the unclear perceptions of

the engineering profession as being "hard hat" and highly

technical in nature, a perception which is at odds with the

realities of the world of engineering practice, where the

application of broad knowledge and an understanding of

the human dimensions of engineering enterprise is

required. Earlier, there was excessive emphasis on highly

technical matters in engineering curriculum which excludes

not only greater technical diversity but also the skills and

knowledge of human affairs necessary in engineering

practice. Therefore, nowadays, greater emphasis is given on

the inclusion of social sciences and humanities in

engineering curriculum.

ENGINEERING

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was

established in the year 2000 with the initial intake of 60

students in B.Tech. & 18 students in M.Tech.. The course was

approved by All India Council for Technical Education

(AICTE). Subsequently, the intake was increased to 180 in

B.Tech, and the course was accredited by National Board of

Accreditation, All India Council of Technical Education.

Nearly 300 state-of-the art computers with configurations

that can support very demanding applications are available

for use by the students for 24 hours. All computers have access

to the internet through a dedicated 25 Mbps V'SAT and RF

link.

DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS AND

COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING

The Department of Electronics and Communication

Engineering was established in the year 2000 with the intake

of 240 students

in B.Tech. & 18* students in M.Tech in the year of 2011. The

course was accredited in the year 2007 by National Board of

Accreditation of All India Council for Technical

Education(AICTE). The Department has a building of its

own with adequate rooms for theory and laboratory classes,

library, seminar etc. The laboratories are well equipped and

the faculty members duly updated with research and

development information.

The teachers are encouraged to present their papers at

conferences as well as arrange conferences in the areas of

relevance to the Department. Students are encouraged to

take up projects of practical relevance. They have been

sponsored for higher studies and research through

programmes like sequential/modular programme, study

leave with pay, as well as for collaborative research abroad.

The Department has very successfully established

collaborative links with national laboratories and national

and foreign universities. The Department strives to remain

one of the best centres for imparting education and carrying

out meaningful research of national relevance in the area of

Electronics and Communication Engineering.The

Department aims at providing students, with the help of

analysis, simulation and laboratory experiments, the

background and understanding of the key areas of the

subject.

The Department arranges training courses and workshops

during summer/winter vacation covering subjects (VHDL-

Verilog, Robotics etc.). This value addition will help students

in securing good jobs after completion of their courses.

The Department has helped students to form their own

society named ‘PHOENIX’. The society has conducted

exhibitions, seminars and competition for all students of

VGI.

The Department has formed a ‘Students’ Chapter’

recognized by the Institution of Electronics &

Telecommunication Engineers (IETE). Departments

encourage students to participate in national/international

seminars/workshops and cultural activities conducted by

IITs & other engineering institutions. The students have won

many prizes for the Institute.

CIVIL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the

year 2009 with the intake of 60 students. Subsequently, the

intake was increased to 180*. Civil engineering is the

broadest of engineering fields. It builds the world's

infrastructure Doing so, it quietly shapes nations around the

world. The department has a qualified, experienced and

updated faculty who can make the progress of your

tomorrow.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established

in the year 2001-2002 with an annual intake of 60 students in

B. Tech. course & 18 students in M.Tech. the intake has

subsequently been increased to 180* students per year in

B.Tech. The course is divided into eight semesters.

4 weeks and 6 weeks Industrial Training is compulsory for

students of 2nd and 3rd year respectively. The department

helps in arranging the training. Evaluation is done on the

basis of a report submitted by each student followed by a

seminar on it.

Workshop and Laboratories are the heart of any Mechanical

Engineering Department. A well equipped workshop

occupying over 5000 sq. ft. area has adequate facilitates for

training of students. It houses Machine, Welding, Sheet

Metal Working, Carpentry, Fitting and Smithy shops.

The following laboratories provide necessary experience in

practical work: Material Testing and Material Sc, Dynamics

of Machine, Fluid Mechanics, Fluid Machinery, Applied

Thermodynamics, Automobile Engineering, Refrigeration

and Air Conditioning, Heat & Mass Transfer, CAD /CAM,

Engineering Graphics, measurement and Metrology and

Manufacturing Science.

ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS DEPARTMENT

The Department of Electrical & Electronics was established

in the year 2003 with the intake of 60 students in B.Tech. &

18* students in M.Tech in 2011. The intake has subsequently

been increased to 120 students in B.Tech. The Department

has always been an active participant in fostering the needs

of various industries, research and development. It tries to

maintain the high quality of teaching standards with a

qualified experienced and updated faculty.

The department has continuous interaction with industries

like hydro, nuclear, thermal power plants, transmission,

distribution substations and smart grid control system

manufacturers. The B.Tech students are sent for 4 - 6 weeks

practical training in the thermal and hydro-electric

generation plants, 400 kV substation, HVDC transmission

and control system in NTPC, NHPC, PGCIL, BHEL, WIPRO

etc. The application of electronics and computers in

electrical engineering; like smart grid control from 400kV

Ballabgarh (Harayana) Substation, expert system for online

fault detection of latest developed electricity generating

equipment are being used with latest developed

maintenance techniques. We are committed to ensure and

continuously improve a healthy learning environment and

facilities for students to achieve academic excellence for

employment as world class technocrats.

DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

The Department of Information Technology conducts B. Tech

course in Information Technology, with an intake of 120

students. The competent faculty with strong theoretical and

industrial background imparts the right combination of

theoretical and practical training to students. Well-equipped

laboratories furnished as per A1CTE standards have been

made available for the use of students. The course is

accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of All

India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), in 2008.

Around 240 state-of-the art computers with configuration

that can support very demanding applications are available

for use by the students of the Department round the clock. All

the computers have an access to the internet services.

Pharmacy College in the year 2005 to impart high quality

education in the field of pharmacy. VIMS is conducting

B.Pharma & M.Pharma course, approved by AICTE and

affiliated to Mahamaya Tech. University, Noida and is duly

approved by Pharmacy Council of India.

The state of the art well equipped labs have been developed

keeping in mind the essence of practical knowledge. The

labs are equipped with sophisticated instruments like: FT

infrared spectrophotometer, Jaysco HPLC Schimadzu

(1600), U.V. Flame photometer, Digital M.P. Apparatus &

visible spectrophotometer etc. as per Pharmacy Council of

India norms.

The institute provides independent section for training and

placements for all passing out students. Our students have

been placed in various companies like – Novartis, Cipla, Sun

Pharma, Grecure, Macleod, Mankind, Mead Johnson, Max

Pharma, Unichem etc.

MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATION (MCA)

Master of Computer Application (MCA) is a three year

programme affiliated to Mahamaya Technical University,

Noida and approved by the All India Council for Technical

Education (AICTE) It was designed to provide necessary

academic rigour and cutting edge skills in information

technology arena to candidates in a rapidly changing

environment.

The MCA is a full time programme consisting of six

semesters spread over three years. The first five semesters

are a blend of intense class room learning and hands-on

experience through computer laboratories, project work,

industry exposure, workshops and seminars.

The sixth semester consists of industrial training, wherein

the students are required to work on a real life project for 6

months with an industrial/commercial organization.

In the many years of industry institute interface, educational

institutions have focused on a single measure of success —

campus placements, while students have focused on a single

measure of success — the pay they receive in their first job,

and industry has also focused on a single measure of success

— their ranking on campus.

These measures served the interests of all the stakeholders as

long as the economy was growing well. As we begin to

experience the lag effects of the global slowdown, the futility

of these measures is becoming evident. Industry does not

want to visit campuses, placements are not happening with

as much momentum and discussions about pay are

irrelevant. The current downturn has redefined students’

industry preferences, organizations’ staffing strategies and

perhaps academia’s selection processes. It is evident that the

roles of and relationships between academia, industry and

students has over the years seen many phases. Is this the

right time to re-examine the expectations, roles and

responsibilities that the stakeholders have towards one

INDUSTRIAL VISIT

The emerging opportunities in India and the global need to

cut costs has encouraged many big players to look up to

institutes for fresh and emerging minds for more fertile

ideas and suggestions. In view of the above, T&P cell took

the initiative of forming a management project cell

consisting of academic mentors acting in close co-ordination

with industry mentors to give their insights guidance and

support to students during various live projects and their

industry interaction sessions.

As an integral part of the engineering and management

course, industrial visits provide an insight on how

companies work and also other useful information related

to the course which cannot be visualized in lectures.

Training and Placement cell –VGI has left no stone unturned

to provide the best industry exposure to its students. In view

of this we keep on organizing many industrial visits for our

engineering and management students.

Placement CellPlacement Cell under this department ensures extensive

One of the architectural delights of the institute is its

Seminar Hall with the capacity of 200 participants. The hall

is well equipped with multi-media projection system,

audio-video facilities and recording systems. It gives the

right ambience to the students of the institute in organizing

the most sought after Industry-Institute-Interactions.

The Institute has a fully computerized air-conditioned

Professional Communication Lab that caters to enhance the

communication skills of the students. In the labs, student-

teacher interaction sessions are conducted to wipe of the

inhibitions of every student and to teach them the nuances

of speech with great felicity and versatility.

Group discussions, Seminars, Mock Interviews, Debates

and Phonetic exercises are frequently conducted in the Lab.

In the lab students are facilitated with video cassettes,

The laboratories form an integral part of technical

education, because that is where students actually apply

the theoretical knowledge gained in classes. Therefore,

the laboratories at Vishveshwarya are adequately

equipped with the latest laboratory equipment. In

addition, they are large and spacious, giving students

ample room for project work. The Group has dedicated

staff members who ensure that each student gains

exposure on the lab floor.

Workshops are also an important element of modern-day

education because they give students an opportunity to

create something with their own hands and understand

workshops at Vishveshwarya have an excellent

collection of tools and implements that can facilitate even

intensive project work. In addition, the Group is

The Library has a collection of electronic and hard copy

formats and provides learning, teaching and research

support services to the students as well as staff. VGI has a

fully air-conditioned well stocked library spread over

1000 sq. mt. with a sitting capacity of over 400 students in

the reading and reference sections. It has more than 4500

titles and over 33,000 books on various subjects. It

subscribes to more than 150 national, international, e-

journals and magazines. The automatic issuance and

returning of the books is supported with the latest

software.

All computer systems in the academy are networked and

can access the electronic catalogue of the library.

Electronic display and photocopy facility is also available

to the students. Institutional membership of DELNET

(Developing Library Network) and BCL (British Council

of Library) enable the user to get access to the collection of

thousands of other member libraries. The library is kept

open for 24 hours. Apart from this, an electronic library

has been set up to access data base electronically.

Pioneer students have the facility of indoor as well as

outdoor games such as Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess,

Badminton, Volleyball, Basketball, Football and Cricket.

FN/PIO/CIWGC seats shall be filled from Foreign Nationals / PIOs/CIWGC who:

Have passed the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, which is considered equivalent to

(10+2) examination by the Association of Indian Universities.

Posses valid SAT-II score with Mathematics level II C, Physics and Chemistry.

Should submit a copy of passport or equivalent evidence in support of their nationality.

For all undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by Vishveshwarya, candidates must qualify with Common

Admission Test-VGI, English Proficiency Test followed by a personal Interview round (provided the candidate fulfills the

minimum eligibility criteria for the programme / course opted) The Admission Committee is responsible for conducting of

the entrance test, declaration of results and merit list, counseling and final admission to the courses.

Provisional admission letter enable the Indian Embassy to provide a student visa (only student visas are acceptable) to the

concerned International Student.

After getting the student visa, the applicant is required to pay the fees. This may be paid in USD or the equivalent sum in

Indian rupees.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR MANAGEMENT QUOTA

Candidates desiring to take admission through Management Quota will follow MTU guidelines.

For any enquiry, they may directly contact in Institute Campus or City Office, Ghaziabad.

Admission to all undergraduate and postgraduate programs will be on the basis of performance in the PI on merit

basis and as per their marks in PCM/ PCB/ UPSEE/AIEEE qualifying rank.

Admissions to all courses offered by the Vishveshwarya Group of Institutions is steered by the Admission Committee

consisting of experienced faculty members, professor and counsellers.

The branch, in which the candidate has got registration, shall be at the sole discretion of the institute authorities

that which branch is to be given to the candidate as per the availability of the branch.

The Admission Committee is responsible for conducting entrance test, declaration of results and merit list,

counseling and final admission to the courses.

Once a candidate applies for withdrawal of admission, he automatically forfeits his claim for his allotted seat.

In case, a candidate withdraws before the starting of the course, the wait listed candidates will be given admission

2. If, he/she gets allotted another Institute through MTU, he will loose his allotted seat.

fulfill all the relative formalities at the time of admission.

8. In case, a candidate desires to avail of bank a loan facility, he/she will submit a copy of UPSEE

allotment letter. afterwards the Institute will issue to him/her Bonafide Certificate of Educational Loan.

9. All candidates, who got allotment through counseling will submit Academic, Examination, Caution money, Transport and

Hostel Fees at the time of admission.

10. Hostel accommodation will be provided on a 1st come 1st served basis.
