After arriving in Vienna you will have a free day to explore on your own. One of our recommendations is to combine the Hofburg quarter on the first day with a visit to St. Stephen’s Cathedral and a fiaker horse carriage ride from in front of the Cathedral. The Hofburg complex includes the Imperial Apartments, Imperial Silver Collection, Secular and Ecclesiastical Treasuries, Spanish riding school, The Butterfly house, the Lipizzaner museum and the Chapel of the Imperial Palace. Audio guides are available for the Imperial Apartments and Imperial Silver Collection. The Hofburg Imperial Palace is within 10 minutes walking distance of the Museum quarter. Day 2: Saturday 31 December: Vienna city tour & Schönbrunn Palace tour and concert option We will depart from our hotel at 08:30 am to meet our tour guide in the Vienna city center. The Vienna tour will include Belvedere Palace, the Hundertwasser house, the famous Ring Street, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the opera house and much more. Following our 3-hour Vienna city tour we will have a lunch break at the Rosenberger Restaurant in the city center. We will then meet at the bus 13:00 for our trip to Schönbrunn Palace to begin our Palace tour. After the Schönbrunn Palace tour free time will be provided to stroll around the Palace and visit other attractions. Day 3: Sunday 01 January: Free day! The Museum quarter in Vienna is considered one of the 10 largest cultural complexes in the world. Places worth visiting, the Museum of Fine Arts, The Natural History Museum and the Zoom Children’s Museum, The Museum of Modern Art, The Leopold Museum, The Coin Cabinet, and the Egyptian and Near Eastern Collection. Many restaurants, cafes and shops are located in this area of over 640,000 square feet.

After breakfast we leave Vienna and begin our journey home to the Grafenwoehr Community.

We’ll stop on the way for lunch and should arrive back between 4:30 pm and 5:00 pm.
