English for International Communication (EIC) (32 hours per module)

Our EIC (General English) courses will help you to improve your accuracy in grammar and pronunciation, expand your vocabulary and develop your skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing. If you need to improve your English for general communicative purposes, this is the course for you.

English for International Business (EIB) (32 hours per module)

Our EIB (Business English) courses are designed to meet the needs of working adults. They will help you to improve your accuracy in grammar and pronunciation, enrich your business vocabulary and develop your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. They will also build your confidence in key business skills.

IELTS Preparation (32 hours)

The course will provide you with the essential exam skills and techniques required to thoroughly prepare you to sit the IELTS examination and help you perform to the very best of your ability. The courses are designed for students at Intermediate and Upper Intermediate who will take the test within 6 months from when they register. We also offer IELTS General Training (16 hours) and IELTS Academic Writting (16 hours). You will also have free access to our Information Centre and a wide range of up to date self study mate-rials to help you prepare for the test.For information on our examination services please see our website or email [email protected].

Business Skills (16 hours)

We offer a number of short, specialist courses for business professionals at Intermedi-ate level and above wanting to improve their skills and gain a competitive advantage in the modern business world.

• > Email Writing: This course will teach you how to structure emails effectively and improve your grammatical accuracy through regular feedback and practice activities.

• > Report Writing: This course will help you to write clear, well structured reports and gain a better understanding of what constitutes a successful business report.

• > Presentations: This course will provide you with expert guidance and training in the skills required to give presentations successfully.

Speaking and Pronunciation (16 hours per module)

This short course aims to develop the accuracy and fluency of your speaking, listening and pronunciation to enable you to successfully communicate in everyday situations, both at work and socially. This modular course is offered at Pre-Intermediate and Intermediate levels.

We also offer a range of training and tailored programmes for all organisational levels. Contact us if you have a specific business communication requirement.

EIC, EIB and Speaking and Pronunciation courses consist of 4 modules of equal difficulty which can be taken in any order.

Most learners complete four modules, but in exceptional cases you don’t have to before moving to the next level, depending on your level and progress on the course. Your teacher will recommend what is best for you when you have an individually counsel-ling session during week four of your course.

How do I register for a course?

1. Book a language assessment test (by telephone or in person)

2. Take the language assessment test: There is a written test and spoken test which takes one hour. It shows us your current level of English

3. Course options: The teacher will talk to you about your level of English, learning goals and the time you have available to study

4. Timetable options: Our Customer Services Advisers on the ground floor will show you the timetable options

5. Registration: You can register or reserve if there is an available course. Your language assessment is valid for 6 months if you choose to wait. If classes are full you are added to a waiting list
