CompactLineThe CompactLine tedders feature amaintenance friendly gearbox, withonly one grease nipple. The gearboxis mounted to the frame, and has no

supporting function, and therefore it is notsubjected to any strain. ProLineThe ProLine tedders feature a uniquelydesigned, self-contained rotor gearbox.Wear on the enclosed and oil-immersedgearbox is reduced to a minimum. Themain crown wheel in each gearbox ismounted directly to the casing by means ofa large diameter radial bearing. They haveno supporting function, therefore they arenot subjected to any strain.

All Fanex tedders are built around a ruggednew CNC bend box chassis with only onewelding seam for maximum rigidity. TheFanex chassis design is fully enclosed atthe top edge for maximum strength - anexceptionally solid design, which allowsthe Fanex to withstand the most severeloads.

Regreasable pivot points are extremelywide and mounted in special bearings formaximum dependability.

Made from at steel, the tine arms form avery compact unit with the rotor plate. Thismakes the Fanex by far more resistant toany type of load.

The Fanex Super-C tines are made of10 mm shot-peened spring steel. Springdiameter coils have 20% larger diametersthan conventional designs for addedservice life, even when tedding largequantities of crop.

Setting the Right Spreading AngleSimple three-way adjustment of wheelheight, allows the optimum spreadingangle to be achieved according to cropconditions, helping you to produce highquality forage.

Setting the rotors to the right spreadingangle will considerably improve thespreading action and speed up thedrying process.

The mower swaths are neatly lifted by

the tines and evenly spread over the fullwidth. The tines glide in a more uniformfrequency over the stubble, so the riskof dirt being lifted by the tines is minimi-zed. Due to the equal load distributionon both sides, Vicon tines last longer.

The strong design and the manyfeatures of the Vicon tedders, ensure

easy and dependable operation.

The optional reduction gearbox makes itpossible to ted night swaths.

Fanex vibration dampers

Conventional systems

The Fanex oscillation dampers ensureexcellent ground contour following andtedder flotation. The construction of theoscillation dampers results in a smoothand even distribution of the grass, dueto the constant tine distance to theground.

The distant linkage point means that itoffers excellent running characteristicscompared to conventional oscillationdampers. The fact that the linkage ispositioned low on the headstock resultsin a more effective damping actionduring transport.

The standard specification includes ahydraulic border tedding system for yourconvenience. In road transport, tedderweight rests on the running gear, ratherthan on the tractors rear axle. Theoptimised oil-immersed drivelineprovides low input requirement, so youcan easily use a small tractor and stillwork at wide working widths - the idealsolution that saves fuel and runningcosts.

The running gear folds hydraulically andtowards the centre of gravity for goodbalance. All folding is fully automatic toeliminate the risk of operator error.One double-acting spool is required tooperate the tedder.

A wide track on the transportcarrier ensures excellent runningcharacteristics - even at high speed.

In working position the weight of thecarrier frame rests on the centre part of themachine.

Low MaintenanceWith working widths from 4.60 m to6.05 m, Vicon offers the CompactLine range with low maintenance rotorgearboxes. The rotors of the Fanex464, 524T, 524 and 604 are driven bya low maintenance gearbox with onlyone grease nipple. The double bearingsfrom pinion to crown wheel guarantee

maximum longevity of the driveline. Thelow weight of these models is ideal forapplication with small tractors, or in hillyregions.
