We are proud to announce the newly developed Syntechtron Wireless Vibration Meter.

The instrument is considered a breakthrough in Vibratory Feeder testing and Controller

calibration. It incorporates several diagnostic functions that are invaluable in determining

the appropriate course of action to restore Feeder-Controller operation to design

specifications. The versatile nature of the design allows for readings to be taken on a

variety of vibrating equipment including products outside the Syntechtron range.

The Syntechtron Wireless Vibration Meter comprises two parts. The hand held

instrument and the remote sensor unit. We consider this tool is an essential piece of

safety equipment allowing maintenance personnel to monitor the Feeder-Controller

status whilst keeping themselves at a safe distance from operating equipment.

The Wireless Vibration Meter kit comes with:

1. The hand held instrument

2. The removable magnetic remote sensor

3. A carry case

4. Operating and instruction manual

This kit is Syntechtron part number 047E0038.

Note: The bolt on remote sensor is not included and is to be ordered separately.

The Hand Held Meter The Wireless Vibration Meter can provide:

- Feeder Trough Stroke Indication (may be interpreted as a guide to Feeder TPH

output).

- Mechanical Frequency (Natural Frequency or N/F) of the Feeder two-mass system

(measured without product).

- Feeder Drive Stroke Indication (assist in assessing the mechanical condition of drive

unit).

- Line Frequency Indication (can be used to detect SCR failure).

This equipment offers an alternative to the stroke gauge indicator and Reed Box

readings. Both of which were previously relied upon for obtaining information and

required personnel to be on or very close to operating equipment. This new Wireless

Vibration Meter allows readings to be taken from a safe distance away from operating

equipment.

The digital display provides precise information, greatly reducing misdiagnosis of

Feeder/Controller problems. Powered by 4 AA replaceable batteries.

The Magnetic Sensor

The removable magnetic Sensor is the standard Sensor in the Wireless

Vibration Meter kit. The unit should be attached to the drive along the line

of action of the drive.

A small lanyard is included so that the Sensor can be tethered to the

Inertial Stroke Transducer cable to prevent loss of the sensor should the

magnetic grip be broken.

The Sensor has a battery life of up to 10 years depending upon usage.

Syntechtron recommend the Sensor be returned to Syntechtron for

battery replacement.

The Permanent Sensor The permanent Sensor is an additional Sensor to compliment the

Wireless Vibration Meter kit.

The unit can be permanently bolted to the Feeder wingplate, much like

the Syntechtron Inertial Stroke Transducer is. This option can be left

fixed to the plant and maintenance personnel can monitor the Feeder

without the need to isolate and attach a magnetic Sensor.

The Sensor has a battery life of up to 10 years depending upon usage.

Syntechtron recommend the Sensor be replaced when the battery has

expired.

One handheld Wireless Vibration Meter is capable of receiving signals

from multiple permanent sensors. A number of permanently fixed bolt on

sensors can be purchased for all your vibrating equipment. This is

particularly useful for machinery that is difficult to access.
