Annual VIBHA Dream Mile 2012

"A fewmilesfor a milliondreams"

Dear Sir/Madam,

Our vision is to ensure that very underprivileged child attains his or her right to education, health & opportunity.Ourmission is to educate, empower and enable every individual who wishes to make a positivedifference in the life of theunderprivileged child.

The Dream Mile...a few miles for million dreamsis Vibha'sflagship event and is organized inseveralmetropolitan centerslike Austin,Dallas, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, WashingtonDC, and the Bay Area.

The 14thannual DreamMile 5k/10krun and 5K walk event will be held on SEP 22nd, 2012 at State Farmbuilding of Johns Creek.Since1998, the race has brought thousands of people together every year, with thecommon hope of making every child's dream come true. Proceeds of thisevent will benefit child developmentprojects for underprivileged children in India and part of the proceeds go to the ChildrensHealthcare of Atlanta

Currently we support more than 25,000 children through 25 activeprojects. We are proud of what we have done;

this would not have been possible without the support of our patrons,donors and volunteers.We need partners

like you to scale up and continue our work, to bring more smiles to this world. The value you can add to

our movement is immense.

Last year, Dream Mile was selected in the 11 charities to Run for by active.com, placed alongside

recognized runs like Team Challenge, Pancreatica Walks and Runs, Team Tillman and Team Mcgraw

(to name a few). The selflessefforts of our volunteers in thisdirectionhave been recognized and supported by

variousindustryleaders, the mostrecentones being a $40,000.00 grant from the Yahoo EmployeeFoundationand

the BestMedium Non Profit in USA-2009award from INDIYA SHINEGreatNon Profits.

Today, over 59 million Indian children in the school-going age are outside the school system. There are 18 million street

children and over 15 million children living as bonded laborers. Imagine the world of a child who calls the street her

home, a child who has no hope of getting an education or a child who does not know where his next meal is coming from

that world is real to millions of children in India.

Thanks to patrons like you, we have the power to change some of that. Through its various projects spread across

several states of India, Vibha has made a positive difference to thousands of children. With constant support from

patrons like you, Vibha can expand its impact to reach more children. YOU empower US to make the difference.

Vibha operates through partners in India and in the US to fund 42 child development projects (currently) that focuses

on:

Child education Health care for children Eradication of child labor Development of the girl child

Vibha has 12 Action Centers in the US with over 1000 volunteers and has been active for over 16 years. Vibha

volunteers organize various events throughout the year to raise funds for development projects it supports and to bring

about awareness in the community towards these important issues. Since its inception, Vibha has raised nearly 7 million

dollars with the help of our supporters.

Patrons like you have supported almost 200,000 children through more than 190 grassroots projects in India and the

US since our inception. Though the major focus of Vibha is to provide basic needs such as healthcare, education

nutrition, recreation and vocational training to underprivileged children, Vibha has stepped in to help communities

when natural calamities have befallen them, such as, the Tsunami in 2004 and hurricane Katrina in 2005.

The Dream Mile foot race, launched by Vibha Atlanta in 1998, has grown over the years and is now the keyfundraising vehicle forVibha across itsactioncenters. In 2007, the Vibha family decided to brand the eventandthus was born The Dream Mile. "A few miles for a million dreams" - the Vibha family truly believes in andsubscribes to this message. We believe that a small initiative taken by us can go a long way in helpingunderprivileged children fulfill theirdreams.

The Dream Mile started off in Atlanta with a small dream to make a big difference. On Oct. 10th 1998, asparkling, sunny day, people from all sections of the community came together in support of Vibha's greatcause. Large number ofenthusiasticparticipants turned out for the 5K Walk/Run,seniors'Walk and Kids' Fun walk.Kids under 3 years ofage and senior citizensover70 walked stride-in-strideand made the event memorable.

The Dream Mile has come a long way since its inception. It has grown from being a small event attendedprimarily by volunteers and friends to a permanent fixture on the calendars of runners in the various cities in

America. The walk/run expanded to othercenters and has become one of the flagship events forVibha over thelast decade. In 1999, the walk/runwas organized in three actioncenters(Atlanta,Bay Area, and Dallas). In the

following year, it was organized in nine actioncen

ters.

Every year, startingearly summer, actioncentersacross the US plan and hostThe Dream Mile with events rangingfrom 5K Walk/Run, 10K Run and 5k/10K Marathons.

This year seeing the enthusiasm and feedback from the community, 10K run is added to the Atlanta Dream

Mie in addition to 5K Walk/Run events.

Vibha also hosts a pledge drive as part of the event,thusproviding those who cannotparticipate in the race anopportunity to getinvolved. As an individual you can make a pledge as well as sign up to become a fundraiserforthe race. The funds raised throughThe Dream Mile go towards supportingprojects in India and the US. Severalactioncenters identify a local beneficiary at the onset of the race season, thusgiving back to the local communitiesin which theylive and operate.

We believe that going forward, The Dream Mile will continue to grow and become more recognized in the

local communities in which Vibha operates.We hope that you will be part of ourefforts in the years to come.
