VI JIRS – III JNRS Perspectivas en Representaciones Sociales: Dialogos y Debates
Editorial News
We are delighted to announce the publication of the book “La Educacion en busca de nuevos sentidos: Discursos y procesos de aprendizaje”. (Eds.)Gustavo Chiachio, Nestor Pievi, José A. Gomez Di Vincenzo and Emilio P. Echaverry Marino. Jorge Baudino Ediciones (Buenos Aires). [ISBN: 9789879020906]
This book is destined to persons working in the educational universe. Transversal issues as speech, social transformation, historical and cultural processes, social memory, and cultural mediation remind us that individual and group learning processes are complex to be empirically investigated, as they are deeply rooted in their contexts. The authors faced the challenge of describing such complexity and contextualization.
In the spirit of regional integration and promotion of cultural and academic interchange spaces, Argentina was the host of the VI Jornadas Internacionales de Representaciones Sociales and the III Jornadas Nacionales de Representaciones Sociales , held at Buenos Aires city on the 28-30 November 2009.
The National Quilmes University, Department of Social Sciences and the University of Buenos Aires, Faculty of Psychology, both organising institutions of this event, had already a common experience in the performing of the II National Journey on Social Representations (2007), in continuity with the first pioneer encounters carried out at the Common Basic Cycle of the University of Buenos Aires (2003). Entitled “Perspectives in Social Representations: dialogues and debates” this conference has stimulated a wide participation of researchers and scholars especially from Latin America countries, but also from other continents (Europe and Asia). Serge Moscovici was the Honorary President and Denise Jodelet the VI JIRS President.
Among other programmed activities, the key conferences were: • Denise Jodelet (France) : “Representaciones Sociales del Miedo“ • Michel Morin (France):“ When Health Psychology copes with Social Representations: Old and New Challenges in a Crisis Time“ • Annamaria de Rosa (Italy): “Economics, Finance and Social Representations: the rhetorical opposition between good “real” Economics versus bad “virtual” Finance in the Media, Web Communities and Expert Discourse“ • Jorge Jesuino Correia (Portugal): “The New Look of Social Representations“ • Clarilza Prado de Souza (Brazil): “Representaciones Sociales y Educacion“ • Antonio Castorina (Argentina): “Psicologia del Desarollo y Teoria de las Representaciones Sociales: un Espacio Controversial?”
