This summer for Birds…

The NSS VGEC has taken a special initiative for the birds. They planned to adopt a pot of water and a home-

made nest for birds and put them in the environs of the VGEC campus. For this, first of all they made a team

which will do the micro planning for this event. After that, they told other students of the college to collect waste

boxes to make nest out of it. They collected 25 different waste boxes from their home or from their locality and

made different types of nest from the waste boxes. On 12th April 2017, all the students who have adopted the

water pots and nests came together and hang all the water pots and nests in the places given to them according

to the survey done by the volunteers. NSS VGEC would encourage them by giving certification to the students

who will maintain regularly the water pots and nests for the whole 1 year.

To Make every volunteer (NSS VGEC ) aware about all the traffic rules and legislations to begin with,

timely seminars will be planned.

Conduct interactions and conversation with those person or families who suffered from the road accidents.

This can directly empathize the audience

Many technologies implementation and their importance can be explained

Will conduct eye checkups or health checkups for the drivers of public transport.

Suggestion with the solution will be represented to the government by the research team on the issues

pertaining common man.

We will conduct this awareness at school level through nukkad natak and other means .

Drone Making With Raspberry Pi

IEEE VGEC Student Branch took

up the challenge to explore the use

of Drones in the Smart City plan. As

a part of their quest, they

successfully conducted a 3day (27-

29 June 2017) workshop on Drone

making with Raspberry Pi. The

uniqueness of this event lies in the

fact that it was entirely conducted

for the students by the students

themselves. Thus they got the dual

advantage of learning about

sophisticated Drone making as well

learning employability skills such as

team work, leadership, articulation

and technical content. The 3day

workshop was focused on

delivering the interactive session

which was primarily focused on

Drones. Drones have been around

for years, and they are used for

different purposes. Recently, these

devices are becoming increasingly popular and their applications are expanding in numerous fields. Hands on

training was given for actually making Drones with Artificial Intelligence using various software and hardware tools

like python, processing, arduino, 3D-printing and raspberry pi.
