Vestibular UCDB offers 14

news items for 2019

Registration is open until December 3; Proofs will be day 9

Registration for UCDB Summer Vestibular 2019 by www.ucdb.br/vestibular is open until December 3rd. The tests will be applied on December 9 and in this selective process, there are 14 novelties in the undergraduate courses. There are six new options in the grid: Big Data and Analytical Intelligence (technological), Food Engineering (baccalaureate), Production Engineering (baccalaureate), Gastronomy (technological), Water Resources Management (technological) and Theology

(baccalaureate). Other four courses are already traditional in the University, but they are also offered at night, meeting growing demand: Biomedicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy. There are also three courses that are once again offered by Catholic: Speech Therapy (Bachelor’s), Computer Networks (Technological) and Social Work (Baccalaureate).

Candidates have two other entry options: using either the Enem or the UCDB Challenge. Agreements between the University and the

Military Police, Civil Police Union (Sinpol), Union of Civil Police Delegates (Adepol) and School of Government guarantee 25% discounts for new students; external transfers also give advantages of up to 25% to complete the course in Catholic, as well as those who intend to do the second graduation in the Institution (graduates have 30% and graduated in other institutions, 20%).

In addition to the new options, the candidates will also be able to choose the more than 48 traditional UCDB degrees, with proven quality (See pictures).

With more than 5 thousand square meters, UCDB Patio is a new multipurpose space of the University destined to the accomplishment of academic events, congresses, rental for other activities. It has led panels, escalator, accessibility ramp, elevators, air conditioning by the central refrigeration, reuse of rainwater in the discharges of the bathrooms, chairs, benches, armchairs and many outlets. The UCDB Patio will house the Pro-Dean of Pastoral, Area of Culture and Art, Sports and also 10 stores of food and services. The site will be monitored by 43 cameras in real time.

Partnership between Don Bosco Catholic University and the non-governmental organization WWF Brazil will allow actions to exchange knowledge, spatial analysis and cartographic production, promotion of training, development of technical and scientific works, publications and events focused on nature conservation. The agreement was made possible through the Agency of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the Catholic (S-Inova).

One such action was the donation of 50 licenses for a five-year period from ArcGis software - one of the most modern and widely used geoprocessing software worldwide.

The Dean of UCDB, Fr. Ricardo Carlos highlighted the partnership as a way to put into practice the actions aiming at the sustainability of the planet. “The sustainability banner is very important. However, it is often used politically or for other purposes. Ours is education - we must educate the new generations so that everyone can put into practice simple but concrete actions. “

The 2018 edition of the UCDB Challenge awarded 46 students from Campo Grande and from the interior of Mato Grosso do Sul. The awards took place in the amphitheater of the A block of Catholic University, on November 21. There were 41 integral scholarships, one of 70% and four of 50%. The students with the best performance in the poles - schools with more than 50 students enrolled in the

focus on my graduation and take advantage of my achievement”, commented the future student of Mechanical Engineering, Daniel Velasco, passed in 1st place at the pole of Sidrônio Antunes de Andrade State School, Sidrolândia.

Also present at the awards ceremony were Dr. Rúbia Renata Marques, the Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, Dr. Cristiano Marcelo Espinola Carvalho, and

the Pro-Dean of Institutional Development, Me. Gillianno Mazzetto, in addition to the institution’s course coordinators, guests, school directors and students’ families.

UCDB Challenge is an annual program promoted by UCDB and conducted by the Relationship Area (SeR) in order to contemplate with Catholic undergraduate scholarships those who perform better in the exams.

SOLIDARITY SANTA CLAUSThe Pro-Dean of Pastoral mobilized

collaborators and students in the Santa Claus Solidarity action. 320 cards were distributed, which will be destined to the children of two kindergarten centers in Campo Grande. The Pro-Dean of the Pastoral Ministry, Fr. João Marcos de Araújo Ramos, informs that those who still have an interest in donating toys, can be referred to the Pastoral, and the children assisted by the Salesian social works.

Next Sunday (2), the traditional Christmas Cantata will be held, with the groups of Culture and Art of the UCDB, which will be held after Holy Mass, starting at 19:15, with parking released to the entire community. On December 10, the Christmas Novena will begin. Already on the 16th will be the Natal Prelude with the Chamber Choir of UFMS.
