There were concerns about an over-reliance on contractors managing critical database servers including the E-Business Suite® application supporting their Payroll application. There was also an increasing pressure internally to reduce ongoing costs in IT whilst maintaining excellent service delivery to stakeholders.

Version 1 supports enterprise Oracle Estate for a global infrastructure services group. These databases underpin the operations of multiple critical societal functions encompassing construction, rail and utilities.
