Harmonization signatures to check product version for vulnerability to CRACK attack were added for

Cisco and Aruba wireless devices.

New Feature – Access

BackBox Access feature gives the customer the ability to connect to remote devices without the need of

a 3rd party software.

It enhances the connection experience by giving SSH, TELNET and RDP access from one console to all of

BackBox devices .Backbox access feature have the ability to open as many terminal windows to multiple

remote devices, and even broadcast the same commands to multiple windows.

BackBox access feature gives you the ability to execute pre-defined commands and even customize your

own commands. Any session opened from BackBox Access is audited and searchable, so you can use

BackBox to find specific commands and who executed them, or even watch a video recording of your

RDP session.

Immutable data export with AWS Glacier

New export option gives the customer the ability to send his backup files to an immutable data storage.

The feature elevates Amazon AWS Glacier vaults and keep the files intact and tampered proof.

Harmonization enhancement

• New tag field in the signature tab will include all the standards that the signature applies to. The

user will be able to filter signatures by standard.

• New table in the harmonization configuration allow the user to arrange sections and signatures

more easily.

• A new export and import for harmonization signatures

SNMP/Syslog trap receiver

A new trap receiver function is enabled on BackBox. It enables Backbox to get Syslog and SNMP traps

from devices. Upon a specified word, it will initiate a backup process.

Cleanup commands

Each backup and task scripts have now a new tab that is called cleanup commands. The commands in it

will run regardless if the backup succeeded or failed. This is used to erase anything that was created

during the backup and was not erased if the backup failed.

Size deviation exception

A new radio button in the device details that tells the backup process to ignore suspect status if the

current backup file is 30% lower or higher than the previous one.

New schedule option

There is now an option to choose a schedule based on the first day in the month. You can schedule it to

be the first Sunday, Monday etc.

Dynamic inventory screen

A new embedded screen was added to the Dynamic inventory report. In this screen, you can filter each

column and choose which columns to see by each product. This gives the customer the ability to easily

view all the infrastructure inventory details.

Upgrade screen

A new upgrade screen will appear every time an update to BackBox is in progress. This will allow the

user to now see the progress of each update and what is update status.

Agent groups

An agent group can now be created. This will cause any device assigned to this group to load balance

any tasks/backups etc., running from an agent, on several agents. Any file saved during the execution

will be replicated to all other agents in the group.

Task Chain

Automated tasks can now be chained in the tasks job and the user can choose if the next task in the

chain is dependent on the last one. For example; a user can now create a task to add a user, and if this

user is added successfully, he can chain a task that will harden the user password.

Customized reports

The ability to create customized reports per customer needs has been added, with all the data

that Backbox have as a source data. Until now, you could create only predefined reports. With

this new feature, BackBox allows you to tailor reports per customer needs.

Dynamic tables

All tables in BackBox are now dynamic. It gives the customer the ability to control what columns

you see in a table, to control the order of columns, and to group rows per customer needs.

For example; a customer can group the device table by vendors to minimalize the table span.

Comparison results in email

There is a new available option to mark if you want to get configuration changes on text based

configuration to your email, on every backup job. The changes will be send in a zip file

containing PDF's with the changes.

Changes in scripting engine

• New internal commands - backup and restore. There is a possibility now to call

restore and backup commands from inside a script.

• Append to file - there is now a possibility to save output to an end of the file and

not just create a new one.

• Strip command - a new internal command that lets you strip characters from a string

Unlimited fields in dynamic inventory

In previous Versions, the inventory for each device was limited to 10 fields. There is now an

option to add as many dynamic inventory fields as you want to the inventory.

Comments in the device history

There is now an option to add comments to lines in the device history. Using this feature a

customer can add is own comments to each line, for example, why a manual backup was

executed.

Compare exception per device

In the device details, there is a new button, that allows you to specify a compare exception per

device, and not per backup type as before.

This means that a customer can now requests to ignore specific lines in the configuration to be

excluded from the comparison feature.

Notifications

• Created a possibility to send notification in HTTP

• A syslog notification contains now site information

IPv6 support

IPv6 is now supported across all features. You can now backup and access a device with his IPV6

address.

Changes in sites

• previously, users could be only on specific sites or the global site. There is an option

now, that a user will be connected to several sites, so he will be able to see everything

included in this site.

• Lock site device to site agents – there is a new option to prevent a user to run a job in

global site if the device is in a site that is locked to an agent
