Action VerbsTell what the subject does or did.
They can be physical or mental.
Examples:
•Sue ran to the store. (physical)
•I know a lot about math. (mental)

Linking VerbsLinks the subject of the sentence to
a word in the predicate.
The most common linking verbs are forms of the verb “be”.
be, is, am, are, was, were, been, being
Example: We are late.
