So for this picture essay I have picked one of my inquiry questions to

answer. I have picked: “ How has gaming changed over the years (1970s-

present)?”. So in the next slides I will have a brief description of each picture

and in the later slides I will show the differences between then and the

present.

The 1980s

Tetris was made in 1989

by Nintendo, Tetris is a puzzle game and when Tetris was first released it was the

first Gameboy game

The Gameboy was first released on April

21 1989 and was develop and

manufactured by Nintendo

The 1990s

Super Mario Kart is the first one the Mario kart racing series made by Nintendo that

launched in japan on August 23 1992

Pokémon was first developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo

for the Gameboy. It was first released in japan in 1996. Pokémon green and red

were first released in japan, but in America red and blue

were released instead.

The 1990s

Grand Theft Auto (GTA) was developed by Rock

Star North in 1997. In the game you play a criminal that can do whatever, But

be careful because you can get caught (busted)

or killed (wasted).

Super Smash Bros was produced by HAL

Laboratory and published by Nintendo on January 21 in 1999. It was made

for the Nintendo 64

Then and Now Tetris and Hand held video games

Then and Now Super Mario Kart and Pokémon

Then and Now Super Smash Bros and Grand Theft Auto

Conclusion

So as you can see there is quite a big difference from then and now. Obviously there's been a big improvement in terms of quality and the amount

of enjoyment you get from the games. I personally think that the look and the graphics has gotten a lot better and as well as the game

play.
