Mode of disposal of treated water : Recycling in irrigation
“Promax Hybrid STP "ProMax Hybrid STP" Biological treatment plants are extremely compact and efficient compared to regular
systems, clog free, handles shock loading, ready to be operated, fully automatic, skid mounted, and up front
central control.
Our package plants are constructed with simplicity in mind. The operation is robust and experience indicates that
one man inspecting the system once a week is sufficient. Regular service and maintenance can be done by in-
house personnel.
The "ProMax Hybrid STP" system is based on the High-Speed Bio Technology biodegradation and filtration, which
is unique due to its compactness and performance in respect of volumetric efficiency. These technologies are
combined in a prefabricated; skid mounted and standardized tank system with variable length, suitable for
overseas transportation in ISO freight containers.

PROCESS DISCRIPTION:
The first and the second chamber of "ProMax Hybrid STP" is filled with Bio Media and water. The last chamber,
which is a Micro Filtration, is filled with water only. Before starting pumping of waste water, the system blowers
start. The blowers force air through the manifolds into the first 2 chambers of the bio system. The influent
wastewater enters the first chamber and comes in constant contact with the Bio Media and air. Large surface area
@ 400 – 500 m2/m
3 provided by the Bio Media helps the bacteria to form large colonies on the Bio Media. Circular
motion of the media is caused by the air flow. Each element of the media slowly moves in a circular motion from
the surface to the bottom and then upwards again. During this movement, it is in constant contact with the injected
air. Slowly a bio film develops over each element, which disintegrates the BOD present in the effluent.
From the first chamber the effluent flows to the second chamber through the perforated screen at the top. The
same treatment is repeated in this chamber and the remaining BOD from the first chamber gets fully digested. The
treated water then enters the third chamber.
After the bio-degradation process in the MBBR tank, the treated water which enters the third chamber. Here the
treated water is directly sucked out via the Membrane modules which are immersed in the same tank; Effluent from
this Micro filtration Membrane is consistent in quality as membrane is an effective barrier against suspended solids
and microorganism.
The accumulated biomass is discharged to the Filterpress/sludge drying bed/sludge digestor for further dewatering.
The treated water then passed through the UV disinfection system.
Each system is carefully designed to clients exact specifications regards to influent loading and effluent
requirements in respect of COD, BOD, TSS, Ammonia or Nutrients.

ADVANTAGES COMPARED TO CONVENTIONAL BIOLOGICAL PROCESS:
In general, the main advantages shown by the moving bed process compared to conventional biological processes
are:
A reduction in the volume of the biological reactor because it uses a support or carrier that gives a high specific
surface. They are very flexible processes since they are based on the percentage of plastic support used in the
reactor. It does not require reactor biomass recirculation – This gives rise to the fact that the biomass does not
depend on the final separation of the sludge and as a consequence typical problems found in conventional
activated sludge processes related to the sedimentation properties of the sludge (filamentous bulking, etc.).
The operation and control is simple for this type of processes.- On the one hand the process avoids blockage
problems and consequently regular cleaning periods, in addition it is not necessary to control the sludge purging
since the system keeps the biomass in the reactor until it comes off the support.
