NEW DEVELOPMENT The Ventura Port District has been working with Sondermann Ring Partners to create a new development within Ventura Harbor. This project is the catalyst to creating a more vibrant economy within the Harbor for the benefit of the District, businesses and its visitors. The mixed-use development will include 300 residential apartments, commercial space, a park and promenade for the public, and a 104 slip marina. The groundbreaking was on December 7, 2016 and will take approximately three years for completion.

The two parcels for development are Parcel 5; the grass lawn area in Ventura Harbor Village, and Parcel 8; the vacant lot at the end of Spinnaker Drive.
Three development teams presented to the Board of Port Commissioners and on May 24th, H. Parker Hospitality was the developer chosen to work with. The concepts are an Adventure Lodge (Hostel) for Parcel 5 and Harbor Cove Inn (Hotel, beach café, restaurant, and events center) for Parcel 8.
