VenTESOL (Venezuela Teachers of English to Speakers of Other
Languages) is a non-profit organization aimed at English Teachers
in Venezuela, whose mission is to develop expertise in English
teaching and learning. Its main objectives are to:
Promote the ELT research
Strengthen the English language teaching and learning at all
educational levels in Venezuela
Promote and spread research studies in the ELT field
Work collaboratively with other teacher organizations with
the same interests
VenTESOL exists thanks to volunteer work done by its members
who are actively involved and committed to its mission. Such
voluntarism is not easy as most members are full-time teachers,
sometimes holding two or more jobs.

organize regional and national events all over the country, which
is divided into seven different regions:
Region 1: Aragua, Carabobo, Guarico and Cojedes
Region 2: Lara, Portuguesa and Yaracuy
Region 3: Anzoategui, Nueva Esparta and Sucre
Region 4: Apure, Barinas, Merida and Tachira
Region 5: Amazonas, Bolivar, Delta Amacuro and Monagas
Region 6: Distrito Capital, Miranda and Vargas
