PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Continuum solutions are the result of research into maximum efficiency in
absorption functions. This new product design incorporates the physical
mechanisms necessary to provide very high efficiency in performance through
the optimization of :
• Viscous dissipation
• Strain energy conversion
• Displacement energy conversion
The Integration of all these mechanisms into an industrial production process
gave birth to an efficient material composition incorporating corrective
broadband sound atmosphere technology which is self adaptive at low
frequencies. Particular focus was given to making the footprint of the continuum
solution as small and autonomous as possible thus making installation as quick
as possible. Each installation can have a unique design thanks to various
colours, patterns and embossing possibilities available.

AREAS OF USE
Continuum solutions can be applied in any enclosed space where improvements to the acoustics are necessary, not only to the sound levels, but also the spectral balance and sound perception.
It is clear that the acoustic requirements of a meeting
room will differ significantly to those of a workshop,
telephone call centre, or even the requirements of a
room designed and dedicated to listening to music.
Architects, designers and acousticians must consider
the variety of different noise sources acting within any
environment and the customers requirement in order to
design the finished solution.
Continuum solutions effectively meet these
requirements and satisfy design recommendations.

HOW CONTINUUM PANELS WORK
6
Continuum Solutions have a very low resonant frequency
and almost always exceed this, but their strong
depreciation properties provide a wide enough bandwidth
to self-adapt to the initial natural frequencies of most
rooms.
For higher frequencies, those just a fraction of the size of
a solution, optimization of strain energy conversion is
obtained, since bending vibration is potentially active.
For medium and high frequencies the solution behaves
like a layer of porous material allowing small scale
viscous dissipation to act according to currently well
known laws.
It should be noted that air stiffness trapped in the back
has been incorporated into design modelling in order to
enhance the performance of absorption at medium
frequencies.
When a sound wave hits a Continuum solution panel, it will behave differently depending on its frequency.
Continuum panels are designed to be particularly
effective in the lower frequency range where
traditional panels struggle, in addition to the mid and
high frequency ranges.
The panel vibrates as a structure in response to the
low frequency soundwaves it is exposed to. The
sound absorption mechanism depends on
wavelength of the lower frequency sound nature and
the size of the panel.
At low frequencies where the wavelength is of similar
size or greater than the solution in place, the
pressure exerted on the solution surface will be
almost in phase and will trigger optimization
properties thus leading to displacement energy
conversion.
HOW CONTINUUM PANELS WORK
7
In general, a good sound
balance depends on a
harmonious distribution of the
spectral response of the room.
This will be achieved with
equalizers that can affect the
entire spectral range.
Continuum solutions, with their
wide bandwidth makes it easier
to achieve such an objective. We
present here an example of a
room treated with Continuum
solutions where reverb time was
reduced and relatively constant
over a wide band.
BENEFITS
8
Some of the many benefits of using Continuum:• Ability to absorb 63Hz to 10,000Hz with a thickness of
just 45mm• Balances the acoustic environment of living spaces• Reduces tedious acoustic broadband noise including
low frequencies• Improves the intelligibility of speech• Reduces standing wave phenomena in confined
spaces by improving the spatial uniformity of the
sound• Corrects reverberation time over small surfaces• Ensures continuity of sound quality to your ears in
open plan areas• Increased soundproofing
In addition to these qualities, Continuum solutions are very
easy to install and take minutes to set up.
Continuum incorporates a broadband acoustical signal correction device which adapts to low frequencies.
OUR PATTERNS
9
The secret to Continuum solution’s specific aesthetics lies in its manufacturing process.A unique collection of delicate subtle patterns have been designed by the Paradigm Design Agency.
OUR PATTERNS
10
Sound particles are their main theme.A graphical representation of sound rhythm and contemporary interpretation of frequency.
OUR RANGE
11
Thanks to their convenient format, Continuum wall solutions allow for great freedom in arrangement.Patterns have been developed so that they can be positioned in any way you please.
